The invention relates to an aqueous silicone emulsion comprising polyorganosiloxanes (POS) with Si-vinyl units and POS with SiH units, cross-linkable by polyaddition in the presence of a platinum catalyst. The emulsion also contains an agent (e.g., buffer) for setting and maintaining pH between 5 and 9 in an amount sufficient to eliminate or significantly reduce foam or gel formation; an emulsifying agent; optionally a polyaddition inhibitor and other additives such as a filler, biocide, antifoam, anti-freeze, coloring agent, synthetic latex. The emulsions can comprise three different families of dispersed silicone phase droplets (e.g., polyorganosiloxane (A), polyorganosiloxane (B) and catalyst). Such emulsions can be used in the preparation of anti-adherent coating on fibrous or non fibrous supports. The invention also concerns a method for preparing said emulsions and methods for coating supports, for example paper, using said emulsion.

The invention concerns a silicone/adhesive complex comprising at least a silicone coating applied on a first support and an adhesive coating applied on a second support, and whereof the release force of a silicone/adhesive interface is capable of being modulated. Process for the continuous coating of a strip of paper or of a textile support using a silicone composition, comprising at least one POS A containing SiVi or SiOR groups, a POS B containing SiH groups and a catalyst C (for hydrosilylation or for dehydrogeno-condensation) and not corresponding to an LTC/FC silicone system, the said process comprising the following steps: step 1 in which conditions for homogeneously mixing the constituents A, B and C are used such that the homogeneity obtained is reflected by a DSC signature comprising a Gaussian peak for which the peak end temperature T3 is in the range from a value above 110&deg; C. to 200&deg; C., the said conditions making use of means for very precisely metering the constituents, means for premixing the constituents other than C and means for homogeneously mixing C with the premix(es) prepared; step 2 of conveying the homogeneous mixture to the coating site; step 3 of coating the support with the homogeneous mixture; and step 4 of crosslinking, in particular with thermal means.

Process and device for coating a support using a crosslinkable silicone composition

The present invention relates to an anti-adhesion treatment process by continuous coating of a strip of paper, this coating comprising a silicone composition based on polyorganosiloxanes (POSs) of FC/LTC type. According to this process, a POS A, a crosslinking agent B (hydrosilylation and/or dehydrogenopolycondensation), a catalyst C and, optionally, an inhibitor D, an adhesion modifier E and other compounds F are used. These constituents A to F are mixed continuously and in metered amounts, selecting mixing conditions such that the bath lifetime BLT is <10 h, such that the bath homogeneity is such that its DSC signature comprises a Gaussian peak (FIG. ), and such that the flow rate of production of the homogeneous mixture A to F is such that the duration d separating the placing together of the components A, B and C and the time of application of the composition to the traveling support strip is less than or equal to the BLT. Method and device for coating substrate to provide it with antiadhesive properties, using a cross-linkable silicon composition

The present invention relates to crosslinkable or crosslinked silicone compositions capable of being employed especially for forming an abherent coating or film for a fibrous or other support, for example made of paper or the like, or made of natural or synthetic polymer (film). One of the essential objectives of the invention is to provide a crosslinkable or crosslinked silicone composition which provides a satisfactory solution to the abherence/printability dilemma, traditionally encountered in abherent silicone coatings. This objective and others are attained by the composition of the invention, including at least one polyorganosiloxane and at least one polyvinyl alcohol corresponding to the following specifications: ester value (E.V.) higher than or equal to 80, preferably 100 and still more preferably between 120 and 200, and standard dynamic viscosity (.eta..sub.dt) lower than 12 mPa s and preferably lower than 10 mPa s, the dry weight ratio of the polyorganosiloxane fraction to the PVA fraction being established between 0.5 and 10, preferably between 1 and 5 and still more preferably between 1.5 and 3.5.
