An adapter for wireless data transmission, in particular according to the 'Bluetooth Low Energy' standard, is proposed. The adapter has a cylindrical housing whose radius is at least twice its height. The adapter includes a wireless transceiver and a processor arranged in the cylindrical housing and connected to the wireless transceiver, and a data interface connected to the processor. The processor is arranged to drive the transceiver and the data interface and can therewith transmit data wirelessly. Because the adapter for wireless data transmission has a flat design, it can be retrofitted in valve positioners. This makes it possible to retrofit commonly used valve positioners that until now do not have an option for wireless transmission of their status data with this adapter. As a result, these commonly used valve positioners also achieve the capability of wireless transmission of their status data.

Adapter for wireless data transmission

The invention relates to a control valve for adjusting a process fluid flow of a process plant, comprising a valve housing () with a valve seat () and a valve member () connected to a valve rod (), which cooperates with the valve seat () for opening and closing the control valve (), wherein the valve rod () is electrically connected to the valve housing () through a contact device (). The invention is characterized in that a measuring device () for the ohmic transition resistance measurement of the contact device () is provided, and that the measuring device () is arranged in a measuring line () that connects the valve housing () to the valve rod ().

Control valve

An adjustable electro-pneumatic converter or transducer based on the nozzle/baffle plate principle is proposed. A defined roughness (Rz) of the baffle plate surface can prevent the occurrence of Bernoulli forces at output pressures close to the initial pressure, i.e. when the exhaust nozzle () is almost completely closed by the baffle plate (). The system thus becomes more dynamically controllable under these conditions. Such a converter can be used to control any consumer system, e.g. air power amplifiers for electro-pneumatic positioners.

A position sensor for an actuator having a measuring shaft capable of pivoting less than, for example, 360&#xb0; around a pivot axis. The position sensor can include an angle sensor to detect an actual angular position of the measuring shaft relative to a stationary reference point. The measuring shaft can include a first section extending coaxially to the pivot axis for introducing a pivotal movement to the measuring shaft corresponding to a control movement of an actuator rod, and a second section extending coaxially to the pivot axis to which a measuring shaft-based angle sub-sensor can be attached.
