A heat exchanger apparatus for a plurality of cooling circuits using the same coolant is proposed, which includes a first fluid tank (18) arranged to be supplied with the coolant and divided into a plurality of compartments (24, 26, 28) for supplying at least two sub-banks (FP, FS) of tubes belonging to the same bank (10) of heat exchanger tubes (12), the bank (10) being mounted at one end on the first fluid tank (18) and at another end on a second fluid tank (22) that is divided into a plurality of compartments (38, 40, 42) communicating with the sub-banks, outlet means (48, 36) being provided on the first and second fluid tanks to permit the connection of each sub-bank to a cooling circuit.

A heat exchanger has a casing formed with two adjacent apertures to which two tubular pipe connections are secured. The apertures in the casing are so configured as to act as one half of a bayonet fitting, the other half of each bayonet fitting being a bayonet end portion fixed to each pipe connection. These bayonet end portions are adapted to be put into a locking position on the apertures, and are provided with base portions which are configured according to the spacing between the two apertures. The base portions have stop means which are arranged to cooperate with each other to lock the end portions in position when both of the latter are in their locking position. A heat exchanger has a casing formed with two adjacent apertures, and two tubular pipe connections are mounted on the casing so as to communicate with these apertures in the latter. The two pipe connection are fixed with respect to a common base plate which is fastened to the casing by snap-fitting means, with the base plate having two orifices which communicate respectively with the two pipe connections and which are arranged to be aligned with the apertures in the casing, a sealing member being interposed between the base plate and the casing. The invention is especially applicable to radiators for cooling motor vehicle engine lubricating oil.

The invention relates to a heat exchanger, particularly for motor vehicles, including at least one water tank disposed at one end of a bank (6) of tubes (8) with fines (7) through which a first fluid flows and a shell (2), such as a casing (9), defined by walls (12, 13, 14, 15) surrounding said bank and through which a second fluid flows. In this exchanger, two sides of the bank are adjacent to walls (12, 13, 14, 15) of the casing (9) braced against one another by assembly means positioning the bank (6) and supported by it. This exchanger is characterized in that the assembly means comprise mutual sliding engagement means (21, 23, 25, 26, 34) supported respectively in part by the bank (6) and by at least one of the walls (12, 13, 14, 15) of the casing (9). The invention relates in particular to motor vehicles.
