A method and system are disclosed for adapting a production flow schedule for one or more production processes, each having one or more process steps that use power for the execution thereof. An exemplary method includes identifying at least one availability time window in which there is a predetermined minimum power availability within a predetermined optimization time period based on a piece of availability information which indicates a forecast power availability during the optimization time period; providing an indication of one or more flexible process steps, which can be executed in a plurality of alternative time windows within the optimization time period; and for each of the flexible process steps, temporally rearranging the corresponding flexible process step into one of the corresponding alternative time windows if the rescheduling is within the availability time window in order to obtain an adapted production flow schedule.

Method and system for adapting a production flow schedule for a production process

The invention relates to a system and a method for automatic installation and maintenance of hardware and/or software in the system nodes (SK) of a distributed computer system, in particular in a distributed automation system, comprising a system installation and/or system maintenance tool (WZ), wherein the system installation and/or system maintenance tool (WZ) can be activated from a single arbitrary access in the distributed system. The system installation and/or system maintenance tool (WZ) selects a software package and/or a functional component, and automatically executes the maintenance steps of the selected software package and/or of the selected functional component as regards the distribution, installation and/or configuration of the software package and/or of the selected functional component in a defined sequence on the system nodes (SK) of the distributed system.

System and method for automatic installation and maintenance of hardware and software in a distributed computer system

The invention relates to a system and to a method for automatically providing system software which is filed in software packets, for system nodes which are arranged in a distributed network, in particular in a distributed automatic system. The inventive system comprises at least one system diagnosis tool which analyses the current state of the system of the distributed network and combines the current state of the data in system status data which is guided to at least one knowledge-based planning tool. Said knowledge-based planning tool produces a system plan for a novel system version, based on control and data, from the system status data and a planning data base, generating installation data for an automatic installation and configuration of the system configuration based on the produced system plan for the system nodes of the distributed network, and guides the installation data to at least one installation and configuration tool, provided in the system nodes. The installation and configuration tool, of the respective system node automatically selects, from the installation data, the software packets which are to be installed, installs and configures said latter, which enable, after configuring the installed software packets, the functionality of the distributed network to be re-established.

System and method for automatically upgrading functionalities in a distributed network

A system and a method are disclosed for automatic installation and maintenance of hardware and/or software in the system nodes of a distributed computer system, in particular in a distributed automation system, comprising a system installation and/or system maintenance tool that can be activated from every system node of the distributed system. The system installation and/or system maintenance tool (WZ) selects a software package and/or a functional component, and automatically executes the maintenance steps of the selected software package and/or of the selected functional component as regards the distribution, installation and/or configuration of the software package and/or of the selected functional component in a defined sequence on the system nodes (SK) of the distributed system.

The invention relates to a system and to a method for automatically creating, installing and configuring extensions of functionalities in the system nodes of a distributed network, in particular in a distributed automatic system, provided with at least one system diagnosis tool which analyses the current state of the system of the distributed network and combines in system status data which is guided to at least one knowledge-based planning tool. The knowledge-based planning tool creates installation data for the novel system extensions which are based on control and data from the system status data and a planning data base and guides said installation data, respectively, to at least one installation and configuration tool, which is provided in the system nodes. The installation and configuration tool, of the respective system node automatically selects, from the installation data, the extension of the functionalities, which are to be installed, in the system nodes of the distributed network, installs and configures the latter, and enables, after the configuration of the installed software packets, the functionalities of the distributed network to be re-established.
