A gas bag module for a motor vehicle steering wheel includes a gas bag (), a gas generator () mounted so as to be capable of swinging, a generator carrier (), means () for bracing the gas bag () on the generator carrier (), and an elastically deformable, in relation to the central axis (A) of the gas bag module encircling sealing element (). The sealing element () is fastened by its free edges directly or indirectly to the gas generator () and to the generator carrier (), respectively. A section () of the sealing element (), which is free before a filling of the gas bag (), is deflected by the pressure occurring in the interior of the gas bag on filling of the gas bag (), so that it comes directly or indirectly in abutment with a support surface ().

Gas bag module for a motor vehicle steering wheel

The invention relates to a vehicle steering wheel comprising a hub, a steering wheel rim, and at least one spoke having at least one spoke section. An vibration-decoupling means is provided on the spoke which acts in all directions and at least largely isolates the steering wheel rim in terms of vibrations from the at least one section of the spoke.

A steering device for a motor vehicle comprises a stationary skeleton which has an essentially arc-shaped skeleton section, and an actuation member that is movably mounted on the skeleton section and that has two contact sections essentially opposite from each other. The actuation member surrounds the skeleton section with a ring-shaped cross section and extends between the contact sections continuously along the arc-shaped skeleton section.

An arrangement for fastening a steering wheel to a steering column comprises a steering shaft end with a contact surface for a steering wheel hub to rest on. The steering shaft end has a slit extending along a steering shaft axis, which slit produces at least two opposite steering shaft end sections. Arrangement for fastening a steering wheel

An airbag module comprises a housing and an airbag that is arranged in the housing and, at least in sections, folded into a package. A deflection device is provided for the package. The deflection device, the housing and the package are coordinated with each other in such a way that the folded package emerges from the housing in a first direction and is then deflected by means of the deflection device by a predefined angle. There is also proposed a steering wheel including such an airbag module.

Airbag module

The invention relates to a the gas bag module, comprising a gas bag and a module housing which has a front wall that closes a ring-shaped outlet opening for the gas bag. A centric portion of the front wall is attached radially inwardly of the outlet opening such that, in the region of attachment, the centric portion is prevented from freely moving outwards when the front wall is opened. At least the centric portion of the front wall, which is attached to the module, has such a thickness and elasticity that upon deployment of the gas bag it swivels, without tearing open radially, about the attachment outwards and radially inwards, as seen from the module, and makes folds in order to clear the ring-shaped outlet opening.

A method of producing a vehicle steering wheel including a steering wheel rim comprises the following steps: A foaming mold with a top part and a bottom part is used; two different foam components, namely, a central carrier component as well as a soft component surrounding the latter, are injected into the bottom part which is not closed by the top part; the foaming mold is closed by closing the bottom part with the top part, and; the foaming mold is heated.

Method of producing a vehicle steering wheel

The invention relates to a gas bag module comprising a gas bag which has a gas bag wall with a front wall section. The module further comprises a cover which has a given annular section which closes an annular outlet opening for the gas bag and has a stationary central portion which is surrounded by the annular section. A section of the gas bag wall other than the front section has an outflow opening which in a folded state of the gas bag is arranged beneath the central portion in such a manner that on outlet of the gas bag, the central portion arrives via the outflow opening into an interior of the gas bag.

The invention relates to a gas bag restraining device comprising a gas bag module which has a gas bag with a front wall upon which an occupant to be restrained can impact in a case of restraint. The front wall has a depression which is produced in that a center portion of the front wall is attached to the module and is prevented from moving when the gas bag is inflated. The gas bag restraining device further comprises a module cover closing a ring-shaped outlet opening of the gas bag module. The module cover has a central hole which is covered by a cap which is stationary during opening of said gas bag module. The module cover has an edge defining the central hole and opens, preferably tears, towards outside starting from the edge. A holding connection is provided between the edge and the cap which is released when said gas bag module is opened.

Gas bag restraining device

The invention relates to a shock-absorbed vehicle steering wheel which comprises a hub with a steering wheel mounting and a handling region for a driver. The handling region is, in particular, a steering wheel rim. A vibration damper is provided in a path of the flux of force between the steering wheel mounting and the handling region. The vibration damper has damping characteristics which are adjustable via one of an electrical and magnetic field.

Shock-absorbed vehicle steering wheel

A steering wheel comprises a rim skeleton and a rim casing. At least one vibration-damping element is provided which is arranged between the rim skeleton and the rim casing.

The invention relates to a device for steering a motor vehicle, the device comprising at least one steering means to be actuated by a driver, the means being coupled electrically with at least one steerable wheel of the motor vehicle. The device further comprises a seat for the driver, the seat including a seat part which forms a seat area, and a backrest part. The steering means are coupled with the seat part and are longitudinally displaceable together with it.

The invention relates to a gas bag module comprising a gas bag, an outer contour of the gas bag being defined by a gas bag wall which has a front wall for the impact of an occupant and an indentation starting from the front wall. The indentation is formed in that a center portion of the gas bag wall is prevented from freely moving during inflation and is restrained. The gas bag has a ring-shaped chamber to be filled with gas and extends around the indentation. A vehicular restraint system comprises an inflatable gas bag defining an internal volume and a gas generator with a pyrotechnic propellant charge for generating gas upon inflation of the gas bag. The propellant charge is made up of a mass of a pyrotechnic material. The mass of the pyrotechnic material may include a binding agent conglomerating the mass into a rigid shaped body, such body having a surface exposed to the internal volume of the gas bag, or the mass is filled into a flexible envelope, which envelope has a surface exposed to the internal volume of the gas bag. Preferably, the mass has a ductile texture, enabling it to be kneaded.

Vehicular restraint system

The invention relates to a gas bag module cover, comprising at least one opening portion for closing an outlet opening, and a predetermined tear line along which the cover is opened in a restraint situation and which defines one opening portion of the cover. The gas bag module further comprises at least one first hinge portion provided on the cover the opening portion remaining connected with the cover via the first hinge portion when the cover is opened. The opening portion has at least one second hinge portion which divides the opening portion into partial sections and allows a movement of the partial sections relative to each other. Further, the invention relates to a vehicle steering wheel which is equipped with such a gas bag module cover.
