Valve, in particular a suction valve, in a high-pressure pump of a fuel injection system

The invention relates to a method for supplying a high-pressure pump () in a fuel injection system of an internal combustion engine with fuel, wherein for delivery and for controlling the delivered quantity a delivery pump () is used, wherein said delivery pump is arranged in a low-pressure circuit () and operated by an electric motor and by means of which, depending on the respective selected engine speed, a certain quantity of fuel is fed to the high-pressure pump (), in which the fuel is first compressed and then fed to a fuel high-pressure accumulator (). According to the invention, the fuel pressure on the intake side of the high-pressure pump () is controlled by means of a pressure control valve (), wherein a supply of the high-pressure pump () with fuel for lubrication and/or cooling via the low-pressure circuit () and the delivery pump () is assured when the pressure control valve () is in the closed position. The invention further relates to a fuel injection system.

Method for supplying a high-pressure pump in a fuel injection system of an internal combustion engine with fuel and fuel injection system

The invention relates to a high-pressure pump () for a fuel injection system () of an internal combustion engine, in particular for a common-rail injection system, comprising a driveshaft () supported by at least one bearing () arranged in a bearing return (), wherein, downstream of the at least one bearing (), at least one valve () is arranged, wherein the at least one valve () has an opening pressure of 0.1 bar to 0.8 bar.

High-pressure pump

The invention relates to a high-pressure fuel pump comprising a drive shaft supported by bearings, and fuel flows through the bearings in a forced manner in such a way that the mechanical and thermal load-carrying capacity of the bearings, and thus the entire high-pressure fuel pump, is significantly increased.

Fuel injection system for an internal combustion engine

A fuel pump according to the invention includes a housing and a part, which is a moving part during operation and which bears on a housing region at least indirectly. It is proposed that the fuel pump includes a coating which is applied to the housing region on a side of the housing region which faces towards the moving part, and that the coating is composed of a plastic.

Fuel pump, in particular for a fuel system of a piston engine

The vane pump has a housing containing a rotor driven by a drive shaft. A number of grooves are distributed over the rotor circumference and extend in a substantially radial direction of the rotor, in each of which grooves a wing-shaped delivery element is guided in sliding fashion. The rotor is surrounded by a circumferential wall that extends eccentrically in relation to its rotation axis against which the radially outer ends of the delivery elements rest. Housing end walls of the pump housing adjoin the rotor in the direction of its rotation axis. An annular groove encompassing the rotation axis of the rotor is provided in at least one of the housing end walls and is situated opposite the radially inner regions of the grooves of the rotor and communicates with the pressure region via a connecting groove in the housing end wall. The connecting groove extends from the pressure region radially inward in the rotation direction of the rotor to the annular groove.

The invention relates to a vane pump comprising a rotor which is arranged therein, rotatably driven by a drive shaft. The rotor is provided with several grooves which are distributed through the circumference thereof and which extend substantially radially with respect to the axis of rotation of the rotor. In each groove a blade-shaped conveying element is slidingly guided. The end walls of the pump housing are adjacent to the rotor in the direction of the axis of rotation thereof. At least one ring-shaped groove surrounding the axis of rotation of the rotor is embodied in at least one front side of the rotor. The ring-shaped groove is connected to lower areas restricted by the blades in the grooves of the rotor, and to pressure areas. In a preferred embodiment, the ring-shaped groove is formed in the rotor by shaping.
