A patterned scarf having a first fabric layer and a second fabric layer which are interwoven along the edges. The scarf has colors and/or patterns which are formed by weft threads their inserted spaced-out between warped threads of the same color. The warped threads are a textured yarn composed of chemical fibers.

According to the invention the labels ( ) are produced in a broad woven fabric ( ) comprising ground warp yarn ( ) and ground weft yarn ( ) for a ground woven fabric ( ), embroidery weft yarn ( ) which forms a figure and code weft yarn ( ) which forms a barcode, said yarn being distinguishable from the ground warp yarn only in a light outside the visible spectrum. In the broad woven fabric ( ) several labels ( ) are produced whose longitudinal sides ( ) adjoin each other in the weft direction and remain unfolded and whose lateral sides ( ) are adjacent to each other in the warp direction and can be folded. The embroidery weft yarn ( ) and the code weft yarn ( ) extend parallel to each other and at a distance from the longitudinal sides ( ) so that the backs of the labels ( ) are evenly covered and thus uniformly transparent. The broad woven fabric ( ) is cut along the lateral sides ( ) into strips ( ) each consisting of transverse labels ( ) which are situated one behind the other in the warp direction. The labels ( ) are then separated into individual labels by cuts along their longitudinal sides ( ), which produces soft cutting edges ( ) in the ground woven fabric ( ) which do not irritate the skin.
