A seal assembly for sealing a grease lubricated large rolling-element bearing includes a radial shaft seal having at least one seal lip configured to sealingly abut against a shaft to seal a bearing interior and substantially prevent a grease discharge from the bearing and a grease flow regulation device, such as an annular pumping ring, for regulating a grease pressure at the at least one seal lip, the grease flow regulation device being mounted adjacent to the radial shaft seal at a side of the radial shaft seal that is intended to face the bearing interior in an installed state.

Seal assembly

A slewing bearing including a first ring, a second ring, the first and second rings being in relative rotation around a rotation axis, at least one row of rolling elements arranged between the rings, and at least two seals having each an annular heel mounted on a cylindrical frontal surface of first ring, and an oblique sealing lip in sliding frictional contact with part of the second ring. The slewing bearing further includes a guiding ring axially arranged between the two seals. The guiding ring provides a flange that prevents the reversion of one sealing lip, and an annular axial collar that radially blocks the annular heel of the other seal in a radial outwards direction.

A gear-driven bearing unit comprising a housing, a drive gear and a rolling element bearing The rolling element bearing comprising: an outer member with teeth for meshing with drive gear teeth, an inner member and rolling elements between the inner and outer members. At one axial side, the housing is connected to the inner member enclosing the outer member. A first radial gap extends between an outer member radially inner surface and an inner member radially outer surface. A second radial gap exists between an outer member radially outer surface and a housing radially inner surface. The radial gaps are sealed by seals, each comprising radial sealing lips. The unit is lubricated with a grease comprising a calcium-based thickener or calcium salt additives and the teeth on the outer member are made of a hardening treated bearing-grade steel which diffuses nitrogen into the surface of the teeth.

Gear-driven bearing unit

A bearing includes a first ring, a second ring and a plurality of rolling elements between the first and second rings. The first ring is a split ring formed of a first ring part and a second ring part that meet at a joint region, and each of the ring parts includes a recess that extends axially into the respective ring part from the joint region. A cylindrical seal is disposed in the recess of the first ring part and extends across the joint into the recess of the second ring part.

A seal assembly for sealing a space between a housing and a component against a liquid medium includes a seal element fixedly connectable to the housing, the seal element including a seal lip that is movable at least in a radial direction, the seal lip being disposed at an angle with respect to the radial direction and a support element in abutment with the seal lip. The support element and the seal element are configured such that a pressure exerted on the seal lip by the liquid medium is transmittable in the radial direction to the support element, and the seal assembly also includes a further seal assembly on a side of the support element axially opposite the seal element, the further seal assembly including a first seal having a first seal body and a second seal having a second seal body.

Seal assembly for sealing a space between a housing and a component against entry of a liquid medium

A self-aligning roller bearing having inner and outer bearing ring elements and at least one row of roller elements disposed in between. The inner bearing ring element having a retaining flange provided on a first axial side of the roller bearing being configured for preventing the roller elements from falling out from the roller bearing. The roller bearing having a first sealing ring element located at the first axial side for sealing the first axial opening, the first sealing ring being rotatable in relation to the inner bearing ring and seals against a sealing mating surface of the inner bearing ring. The retaining flange has at least one filling slot configured for allowing the roller elements to be inserted in-between the inner and the outer bearing ring elements during assembly of the roller bearing, and the sealing mating surface being axially outside the at least one filling slot.

Self-aligning roller bearing

A seal device for sealing in a liquid medium includes a first seal assembly disposed on a primary side facing the medium and configured to seal a stationary component with respect to a rotatable component, a second seal assembly disposed on a secondary side facing away from the medium and configured to seal the stationary component with respect to the rotatable component, and a sensor connected to a volume located between the first seal assembly and the second seal assembly and configured to detect a change of a moisture level in the volume. The stationary component further includes a bore located axially between a contact surface for the first seal assembly and a contact surface for the second seal assembly, and the volume is connected to a pressure tank by the bore.

Sealing device and method for sealing in a fluid medium

A sealing device for a bearing unit, where the unit has a radially outer ring, two rows of rolling bodies arranged, respectively, between the radially outer ring and a pair of radially inner rings. The sealing device further provides a spacer including an annular groove and configured to be arranged between the radially inner rings of the bearing unit and a seal housed inside the groove of the spacer. The seal is 'U' shaped, defines a volume internally and is configured to be mounted in the annular groove with the concavity directed towards the axis of symmetry of the bearing unit.

A friction device for a bearing assembly includes an annular friction module defining a friction surface that extends around a revolution axis of the friction device and that is configured to lie against and to exert a friction torque on a cylindrical surface rotating with respect to the friction device, the friction surface being cylindrical before the friction device is mounted around the rotating cylindrical surface.
