In a method for determining a wheel or axle geometry of a vehicle, the following steps are provided: illuminating a wheel region with structured and with unstructured light during a motion of at least one wheel and/or of the vehicle; acquiring multiple images of the wheel region during the illumination, in order to create a three-dimensional surface model having surface parameters, a texture model having texture parameters, and a motion model having motion parameters of the sensed wheel region; calculating values for the surface parameters, the texture parameters, and the motion parameters using a variation computation as a function of the acquired images, in order to minimize a deviation of the three-dimensional surface model, texture model, and motion model from image data of the acquired images; and determining a rotation axis and/or a rotation center of the wheel as a function of the calculated values of the motion parameters.

Method and measuring assembly for determining the wheel or axle geometry of a vehicle

A motor vehicle includes a plurality of electronic detection devices for detecting and making available vehicle-related information items, wherein the vehicle-related information items relate to various areas or components outside or inside the motor vehicle; a display unit for displaying the vehicle-related information items; an operator control device for detecting an operator control action; and a control unit. The control unit is configured and coupled with the detection devices, the display unit and the operator control device such that in a first display operating state, first vehicle-related information items and a first graphics object, which represents the motor vehicle, are displayed. In a second display operating state, second vehicle-related information items and a second graphics object, which represents the motor vehicle, are displayed. The first graphics object, which represents the motor vehicle, is larger than the second. Switching between the first and the second display operating states is brought about by way of an operator control action.

A method for ascertaining the axis of rotation of a vehicle wheel in which a light pattern is projected at least onto the wheel during the rotation of the wheel and the light pattern reflected from the wheel is detected by a calibrated imaging sensor system and analyzed in an analyzer device. Accurate and robust measurement of the axis of rotation and, optionally, of the axis and wheel geometry, in particular when the vehicle is passing by, is achieved in that a 3D point cloud with respect to the wheel is determined in the analysis and a parametric surface model of the wheel is adapted thereto; normal vectors of the wheel are calculated for different rotational positions of the wheel for obtaining the axes of rotation; and the axis of rotation vector is calculated as the axis of rotation from the spatial movement of the normal vector of the wheel.

A motor vehicle operating system includes a navigation system for providing road map information, a vehicle monitoring system for providing vehicle information, a display device for displaying road map information and vehicle information, an operating device for detecting an operating action and a control device. The control device is set up and coupled with the navigation system, the vehicle monitoring system, the display device and the operating device such that, in a zoom operating condition, in at least one predefined operating situation or zoom situation, particularly in the case of the adjustment of the zoom factor to a limit value. A switching-over takes place from the zoom operating condition to a monitoring operating condition by way of an additional zoom operating action.

A rocker switch, particularly a window lift switch in a motor vehicle, has a switch housing in which a rocker lever can be adjusted from an initial position, against a restoring force, into a switch-on position. The rocker lever is disposed in the switch housing on one side. In the initial position, its surface forming the free end of the rocker lever is approximately flush with the surrounding areas of the switch housing, and, in the switch-on position, this surface protrudes out from the surrounding areas.
