A fastening element comprises a housing having a top side and a bottom side and partially defines a recess extending along a longitudinal axis and adapted to receive the shaft of a stud, and a slit extending radially from the recess. The fastening element further comprising a spring ring seated in the slit and protruding radially into the recess. The sprig ring is seated rotatable in the slit, so that a rotational motion of the spring ring within the housing is allowed. The spring ring comprises a body and spring fingers, wherein the body is an annular body partially defining a hole, and wherein the spring fingers protrude radially into the hole.

Fastening element and system with a fastening element

A fastening clip for attaching a component to a stud of a support part has a base part with an opening for accepting the stud. The opening has an axis and has a fastening region and an unlocking region located next to one another perpendicular to the axis. Resilient retaining means for holding the stud in place are arranged in the fastening region, which means are designed such that the stud can be introduced into the fastening region in the direction of the axis and the stud located in the fastening region can be displaced into the unlocking region by a relative movement of the stud and fastening clip perpendicular to the axis of the opening, wherein in the unlocking region the stud can be removed from the opening.

The retaining region is constructed for fastening to a T-stud on a support. The locking region is constructed to receive an entry section of the strap looped about objects to be held and to lock the strap in the locking region.
