The invention relates to a control system for reducing rotor vibrations, in particular the variability thereof, in shafting, in particular turbine shafting, in which the temperature of the bearing () of the shaft is measured and the oil () supplied to the bearing is adjusted to a temperature as is assigned as the output variable in an allocation for minimised rotor vibrations with the measured temperature of the bearing as the input variable. The allocation can, for example, be provided by an initial measurement of the rotor vibrations or by a self-learning system. According to the invention, the variability of the rotor vibrations is restricted.

Provided is a silo combustion chamber comprising a vertically extending flame tube that can be lit from above and through which circulation takes place in a downward motion, the outer surface of the flame tube being provided with a plurality of cooling fluid supply openings and the inside thereof being lined with ceramic heat shield elements, the lowest heat shield elements being supported on a metal supporting ring; a conically tapered mixing tube arranged downstream from the flame tube, into which the lower region of the flame tube is set; and an outer housing that surrounds the flame tube and the mixing tube, forming an annular supply channel, the lowest heat shield elements completely covering the radially inwardly oriented surfaces of the supporting ring. An electric machine having a stator and a rotor arranged on an axis of rotation and a first fan, which extends in the radial direction on one section of the axis of rotation and delivers a coolant flow into the electric machine during operation. The electric machine further includes a fan directing element, which interacts with the first fan and deflects at least a proportion of the coolant flow. Variable and demand-based cooling of the electric machine can be achieved by the fan directing element, which can in particular be adjustable.

A cooling device for an electric motor includes at least one closed capillary tube, within which a cooling fluid is located and which is introduced into an opening of a lamination stack of the electric motor such that the capillary tube is connected to the lamination stack to conduct heat and partially projects out of the lamination stack, such that the capillary tube has a cold end disposed outside and a hot end disposed inside the lamination stack. The cooling fluid and the degree of filling of the capillary tube with the cooling fluid is chosen such that an input of heat from the lamination stack into the capillary tube leads to evaporation of the cooling fluid, and the cold end of the capillary tube is cooled such that vapor produced during the evaporation condenses and heat input into the capillary tube is dissipated out of the capillary tube.
