A method for transmission of control data to a user equipment in a mobile telecommunication system, wherein the method comprises sending control data to the user equipment in a data transmission, and performing, by the user equipment, a blind decoding of transmission elements within the data transmission in order to detect the control data in a data region in the data transmission.

The present invention relates to a radio node (), a wireless device () and methods performed by the radio node () and the wireless device () for communicating in a wireless communication system (). The wireless device () is configured with cells on at least two component carriers, CCs, available to the wireless communication system () for communication with the wireless device (). Each one of the at least two CCs is associated with at least one CC group out of a set of CC groups. The radio node () transmits control information to the wireless device ()indicating a CC group. The transmitted control information applies to at least one CC, which at least one CC is at least one of those CCs, out of the at least two CCs, that are associated with the indicated CC group. The wireless device () receives the control information from the radio node () and applies the received control information to at least one CC, which at least one CC is at least one of those CCs, out of the at least two CCs, that are associated with the indicated CC group.

Systems and methods for search area-based control channel monitoring are provided. According to one exemplary embodiment, a method is performed by a control node for communication with a user equipment. Further, the communication is structured in frames with each frame having subframes. The method includes transmitting, by the control node, a control channel in a search area that is in a subset of the subframes for a frame so as to enable the user equipment to monitor the control channel in only the subset of the subframes for that frame.

The present invention relates to a transmission of information in a wireless communication network between a radio access node and a relay node, wherein, according to a new ground rule, for each allocated downlink subframe for a downlink transmission from the access node to the relay node, an uplink transmission subframe for an uplink transmission is allocated four transmission time intervals later. A downlink subframe is only allocated when a further subframe of the same transmission time interval for a transmission from the relay node to the user equipment is a subframe of a type that indicates to a user equipment that no data are received beyond a control region of the subframe.

In one embodiment, a method for operating a control node for a wireless communication system is provided. The method comprises the steps: creating a data frame comprising an early part and a later part, wherein the early part comprises first control data for controlling a receiving node; checking whether second control data are to be put into the later part; scheduling payload data for the receiving node into the later part if second control data are not to be put into the later part; and transmitting the data frame to the receiving node.

Methods and nodes in a radio communication system with efficient control channel use

Systems and methods relating to a transceiver architecture that maintains legacy timing by inserting and removing a cyclic prefix at a legacy sampling rate are disclosed. In some embodiments, a system for a receiver comprises an upsampling subsystem, a cyclic prefix removal unit, and a downsampling subsystem. The upsampling subsystem is operable to process a first baseband receive signal that is at a first sampling rate to generate an upsampled baseband receive signal at a second sampling rate that is greater than the first sampling rate. The cyclic prefix removal unit is operable to remove a cyclic prefix from the upsampled baseband receive signal to provide a second baseband receive signal at the second sampling rate. The downsampling subsystem is operable to process the second baseband receive signal to generate a downsampled baseband receive signal at the first sampling rate. In this manner, complexity and power consumption are reduced.

Exemplifying embodiments herein relate to a relay node and a method therein for communicating data to a user equipment, the relay node being associated with a base station, is provided. The method comprises receiving information from the base station indicating a first set of resource blocks of a subframe comprising control information. The method further comprises identifying, based on the received information, at least one resource block outside the first set of resource blocks, and scheduling, to the user equipment, transmissions on the at least one identified resource block.

Sub-carrier allocation in a wireless communication system using relays

Some embodiments provide a method for transmitting a downlink control channel in at least one block of resources. The downlink control channel comprises a set of resource element groups. The method may be executed by a transmitting node, e.g., an eNB. The transmitting node first determines whether to transmit the downlink control channel using localized or distributed transmission. Responsive to determining to use localized transmission, the transmitting node performs the transmission such that all resource element groups in the set that are comprised in the same block of resources are mapped to the same antenna port, and the antenna port depends on which subset of resource element groups in the block of resources are used for the downlink control channel.

Methods and arrangements for transmitting and receiving control information

A system includes a self-backhauled eNodeB which communicates via a radio interface with an anchor eNodeB, where the self-backhauled eNodeB is made reachable in an operator's network via a serving gateway and where the serving gateway of the self-backhauled eNodeB owns an IP address associated with the self-backhauled eNodeB. The system receives a packet destined for the self-backhauled eNodeB and classifies the packet to a bearer associated with a self-backhauled link to the self-backhauled eNodeB.

The object of the present invention is to reduce interference and power consumption of a repeater operated in a wireless communication network. According to the present invention this object is achieved by a self-optimizing repeater () for use in a wireless communication network using predetermined carrier communication resources per cell. The self-optimizing repeater () comprises an amplifier () adapted to amplify a first subset of communication resources selected from, the carrier communication resources, a monitoring unit () adapted to monitor traffic load on the first subset of communication resources, and an adjustment unit () adapted to adjust the first subset of communication resources as a function of the monitored traffic load. The operation of the self-optimizing repeater is fully transparent and no control signaling is necessary to control the self-optimizing repeater.

According to an embodiment of the invention, a method of operating a control node for communication with at least one receiving node is provided. The communication is structured in frames comprising several subframes () which may be divided into subbands in the frequency domain. The method comprises transmitting a control channel in a search area () of one of the subframes (). The search area () comprises a configurable time span and may span one or more of the subbands.

In order to provide efficient relaying of multicast data in a wireless network, the wireless network comprises a base station and a relay node. The relay node is configured for transmissions on the basis of a radio frame including one or more subframes for unicast transmission and one or more subframes for multicast transmission. In a multicast-only operating mode of the relay node, the base station transmits multicast data to the relay node in one or more subframes which are selectable from the one or more subframes for unicast transmission and the one or more subframes for multicast transmission. The relay node receives the multicast data as transmitted by the base station and transmits the received multicast data in one or more of the subframes for multicast transmission.
