A time-delay latch for securing a structure in a specified position includes a housing, a fluid chamber contained within the housing for holding fluid, a pin that extends through the fluid chamber and is axially movable within and through the fluid chamber, and a release frame movably secured within the housing. When the pin is in a latched position, the release frame engages with the pin to prevent axial movement of the pin. When the pin is in an unlatched position, the release frame disengages from the pin to allow axial movement of the pin. The axial movement of the pin between the latched position and the unlatched position requires a prescribed duration of time to elapse. During operation, the axial movement of the pin between the unlatched position and the latched position can occur faster than the prescribed duration of time.

An area-expandable monument is provided for a cabin of a vehicle that includes, but is not limited to two housing parts that are displaceable relative to each other and can be fastened. A gap between the housing parts in an expanded state can be covered by a covering element. In the monument, a first sanitary fixture could be arranged whose position adapts to the spatial state of the monument. Optionally, there is also a pivotable second sanitary fixture that can be activated with the monument in its pushed-out state.

An internal swivel door for an aircraft compartment. A door frame for entering the compartment includes a horizontal element and at least one door leaf which is mounted inside the door frame wherein the door leaf is turned about a vertical door rotational axis. The vertical door rotational axis is moved in parallel along a predetermined local curve. In order to take up less space during opening and closing of the door and to be able to operate the door with the least possible force, the door has a rotary sliding joint between the door leaf and the horizontal element. The door leaf has a rotational movement about a momentary rotational axis running through the rotary sliding joint wherein the momentary rotational axis is moved in parallel both in relation to the horizontal element and the door leaf.

In a containment for receiving a removable vehicle top, including a containment cover, a containment cover operating mechanism for transferring the vehicle top between closed and open positions, a containment bottom movable between raised and lowered positions and a containment bottom operating mechanism, the containment bottom operating mechanism is coupled to the vehicle top in such a way that, during the transfer of the vehicle top from the closed to the open position, movement of a component of the vehicle top initiates the lowering of the containment bottom by uncoupling the containment bottom from its operating mechanism before the vehicle top enters the containment.

Containment for receiving a removable vehicle top

In a cover arrangement for a storage compartment for a removable vehicle roof with a storage compartment cover which is movable between a closed position and a clearing position, and wherein the storage compartment cover includes a center part and two side parts with an operating mechanism for the center part and actuating mechanisms for the side parts, the center part and the side parts are supported on the vehicle body in a common plane when the storage compartment is closed but are movable to a clearing position for the movement of the roof into, and out of, the storage compartment, the side part actuating mechanisms being inter-linked with the center part operating mechanism for moving the side parts together with the center part.

Cover arrangement for vehicles with removable vehicle roof

In a hard top vehicle roof which is movable between a closed position, in which it covers the interior of a vehicle, and a storage position, in which it is contained in a vehicle storage space, the vehicle roof includes a rear roof part, which is pivotally mounted on the vehicle body and a front roof part, which is mounted on the rear roof part so as to be movable below and in parallel relationship to the rear roof part for movement therewith into the storage space.

In a convertible vehicle top which is movable between a closed position in which it covers an interior vehicle space and an open position in which it is contained in a storage compartment, the vehicle includes rear side windows which are pivotally connected to the vehicle top and the edges of the rear side window remote from the vehicle top are held in sealing engagement with the vehicle body when the top is closed but are pivoted inwardly during movement of the top from the closed to the open position.
