An apparatus for determining at least one of dimensional and geometric properties of a measurement object has a first measurement arrangement, which records first measurement values. The first measurement values represent respective positions of first selected measurement points relative to a first coordinate system. The apparatus has a second measurement arrangement, which records second measurement values. The second measurement values represent respective surface normals at second selected measurement points. The first and second measurement arrangements are arranged spatially fixedly with respect to one another on a housing body. The apparatus further has a third measurement arrangement, which records third measurement values. The third measurement values represent a respective current position of the housing body relative to a further coordinate system. The evaluation unit is configured to combine the first measurement values and the second measurement values positionally correctly using the third measurement values.

Apparatus for determining dimensional and geometric properties of a measurement object

A measuring apparatus for determining object data of at least one test object includes at least one distribution of retroreflectors. The retroreflectors are arranged on the measuring apparatus. The distribution has at least so many retroreflectors that at least three retroreflectors are observable at at least three spatially different observation locations in at least 90% of all possible spatial orientations of the measuring apparatus. A distance range of the observation locations is 0.1 m to 30 m. Each of the retroreflectors has a maximum acceptance angle. Each of the retroreflectors has a diameter of 1 mm to 50 mm. The retroreflectors are arranged such that, for each of the observation locations, a minimum spacing of measured retroreflector distances of the observable retroreflectors is 0.1 mm to 50 mm.

A tracking system for determining at least one spatial position and an orientation of at least one measurement object includes at least three cameras. The at least three cameras are each arranged at different spatial positions. Each of the at least three cameras has at least two color subsystems. Each of the color subsystems has at least one bandpass filter. Each of the bandpass filters of the color subsystems of the respective camera has different passbands.

Tracking system and optical measuring system for determining at least one spatial position and orientation of at least one measurement object

A method and an arrangement for optically capturing an object with a light pattern projection are provided. The method includes projecting a predetermined number of light patterns on the object, capturing at least one image of the object when each of a respective light pattern is projected to obtain position location dependent image intensity values for a respective projected light pattern, determining a linear combination of the predetermined number of light patterns, and generating a synthesized image intensity value for at least one image location in the image plane which corresponds to an area of the local region. The synthesized image intensity value at the image location is determined by a linear combination of the image intensity values which includes the linear combination of the projection intensity values for the local region, and the projection intensity values are replaced by the image intensity values at the image location.

Method and arrangement for optically capturing an object with a light pattern projection

3D coordinates at first selected measurement points of a measurement object are determined using a first measurement arrangement. Surface normals at second selected measurement points of the measurement object are determined using a second measurement arrangement. Using the 3D coordinates and the surface normals, at least one of dimensional or geometric characteristics of the measurement object are determined. The second measurement arrangement includes a number of light sources and a first camera which is directed to the measurement object. A calibration data set represents individual direction dependent radiation patterns of the light sources. The surface normals are determined using the calibration data set and the 3D coordinates at the first selected measurement points.
