The invention relates to a monitoring attachment for monitoring a nut () of a screw connection for cracking, deformation and/or breakage, wherein the monitoring attachment has a conductor loop which is guided around an outer periphery of the nut () and which is interrupted in the event of deformation, cracking and/or breakage of the nut (). The monitoring attachment is characterised by at least two segments ('″) which together enclose the periphery of the nut () and are held together frictionally at at least one radial connection point, wherein the conductor loop is guided over contacts at the connection point.

Monitoring attachment for monitoring a nut of a screw connection

A manually operated pressing tool has a first manual lever, a second manual lever, a node element pivotably connecting the two manual levers to one another via a first pivot axis and a second pivot axis and a crimping unit arranged on a head portion of the pressing tool. The crimping unit includes a crimping die and a die receptacle. The first and second manual levers are further coupled to one another via a fork element which has a fork neck, a first fork finger and a second fork finger. The fork neck is pivotably coupled to the first manual lever via a third pivot axis. The crimping die is arranged on the first fork finger and the die receptacle is arranged on a head portion of the first manual lever, The second fork finger is pivotably coupled to the second manual lever via a fourth pivot axis.

Manually operable pressing tool

A manually operable pliers tool has first and second pressing jaws pivotally connected about a first pivot axis. A first handle extends from the first pressing jaw and a second handle is linked to the second pressing jaw. The second pressing jaw has a u-shaped node element with a base mounted on the first pressing jaw via the first pivot axis and a first limb mounted on the second handle via a second pivot axis. A stop, which is adjustable between a passive position and an active position, is arranged on the first pressing jaw, wherein opening movement of the second handle can be limited by a second limb of the node element coming to a stop on the stop by setting the stop into the active position.

Manually operable pliers tool

An attachment for monitoring a nut of a screw connection for crack formation, deformation, and/or breakage includes a socket portion which is attached to the outer circumference of the nut and has a conductor which is interrupted in the case of a deformation, crack, or breakage of the nut. The conductor is embedded in at least one material. The attachment is produced by injection molding with the conductor embedded within the socket portion. The monitoring attachment is particularly useful for operating a shutoff device for a wind generator in the event of failure of a nut which secures a turbine blade to the generator hub.

A current transformer arrangement, and method, include a current sensor for producing a sensor output voltage that is proportional to the input current flowing in a conductor; a first processing branch including a voltage calculating device for calculating the effective voltage value of the sensor output voltage; a second processing branch including a polarity detecting device having an input terminal connected with the current sensor output terminal to produce a polarity signal having one polarity when the conductor input current is either an alternating current, a hybrid current, or a direct current flowing in one direction, and the opposite polarity when the conductor input current is a direct current flowing in the opposite direction; and a multiplier device for modifying the effective voltage value to produce a signed effective voltage having a polarity corresponding with the polarity of the polarity signal. A modifying circuit modifies the signed effective voltage.

Current transformer and method for converting a conductor current flowing in an electrical conductor to an output signal

A lighting arrangement for illuminating a passage, such as a wind tower or tunnel, includes at least one lighting unit having a generally rectangular base with bottom, side and end walls cooperating to define an open-topped chamber, a pair of light energy sources arranged partially in the housing chamber for directing light beams toward opposite ends of the housing, respectively, and a cover member formed of light-transmitting material, which cover member is connected with the base to extend over the light energy sources and to close the housing chamber. The cover member includes a concave dome portion containing a cavity within which the light sources are mounted. Opposite areas of the cover dome portion define collimating devices for concentrating the light beams in opposite directions longitudinally of the passage that is to be illuminated. A plurality of lighting units are longitudinally-arranged in the passage, and are electrically connected in series.

Lighting arrangement for lighting the interiors of towers and tunnels

LED lights

A first adapter arrangement includes a housing having a sealing end supporting the housing in a vertical wall opening of a casing containing an electronics device, and a connecting end extending externally of the casing for connection with the housing of a companion adapter arrangement. A pair of resilient generally-annular longitudinally-spaced seal members are mounted concentrically about the adapter housing sealing portion for sealing the space between the adapter housing outer surface and the adjacent surface of the casing wall opening. An electrical connector mounted in a through passage contained in the adapter housing includes a conductor contact end connected with the conductors of the electrical device, and a connector contact end adapted for connection with the corresponding contacts of a companion second adapter arrangement. A fastening device serves to connect together the adjacent ends of the adapter housings of the first and second arrangements.

Adapter arrangement

An electrical connector for connecting the bare end of a horizontal conductor with a horizontal printed circuit board, including a sectional housing having a base member seated on the printed circuit board. The base member contains an open-topped chamber and includes a vertical front wall the upper edge of which contains a vertical slot communicating with the chamber. A cover member is normally seated on the base member to close the chamber and the upper end of the slot. A lower electrically conductive cage member is arranged in the bottom of the chamber for electrical connection with the printed circuit board. The cover member is removable from the base member to open the tops of the chamber and the slot, thereby to permit the horizontal conductor bare end to be displaced laterally vertically downwardly into the slot and housing chamber toward electrical engagement with the lower cage member.

Circuit board clamp means

A plug connector and a method of coding of same is characterized by first and second coding elements that are pre-mountable as a unit on at least one of a pair of plug connector components. The other plug connector component is configured so that when the connector components are initially connected together in an axial direction, one of the coding elements is connected with one of the components and the other coding element is connected with the other component. When the components are separated axially, the respective coding elements are separated so that each are retained on the component with which it was originally connected.

Connector apparatus with code means, and method of assembling the same

A pliers-type gripping tool includes a pair of gripping jaws, a pair of pivotally connected hand grip levers for operating the gripping jaws between an open separated condition and a closed gripping condition, and an adjusting device for varying one of the physical operating properties of the tool. In one embodiment, the hand grip levers are sectional, and the adjusting device includes an angle setting arrangement for determining the angular relationship of the sections, thereby to permit use of the tool to engage an object at a relatively inaccessible location. In a second embodiment, at least one of the levers includes a metal lever body member partially enclosed by a synthetic plastic shell member. An adjusting device controls the lateral relative positions of the lever body and shell members to adjust the effective thickness of the hand grips to correspond with the size of the hand of the user.

Hand grip operating means for an insulation-stripping tool

An insulation stripping tool of the pliers-type includes an adjustable pull rod stop device for limiting the extent of travel of the longitudinally displaceable pull rod and the cutting and stripping blades connected thereto, thereby to produce only partial removal of a length of severed insulation layer from an insulated conductor. An adjustable conductor stop device is mounted on at least one of the cutting and stripping blade holders for limiting the extent to which the end of the insulated conductor is inserted into the open mouth of the stripping tool. A stationary scale is mounted on one of the handles adjacent the adjustable conductor stop device.

Insulation stripping tool with striker means

A pliers-type insulation stripping tool includes a releasable fastening device for fastening a knife cassette to at least one of the knife carrier members that are longitudinally displaced by the pivotally connected tool handle members to remove a severed length of insulation from a longitudinally-arranged insulated conductor that is clamped between by the tool gripping jaws. A U-shaped resilient fastener spring wire has leg portions that are resiliently biased apart, at least one of the legs containing a laterally extending bulge portion that extends into a corresponding locking slot contained in a side wall of the knife cassette. To release and replace the knife cassette, the protruding free extremities of the leg portions of the spring wire are displaced together, thereby to remove the leg bulge portion from the slot contained in the cassette outer wall.

Knife assembly for insulation stripping tools

A pliers-type insulation stripping tool includes an adjusting device for adjusting the cutting profile provided by the knife edges of a stack of parallel lamellar cutting blades pivotally connected at one end with a knife holder for independent pivotal movement about a first pivot axis parallel with the tool handle pivot axis. The knife holder is connected for longitudinal displacement on one the clamping jaws of the tool handles, thereby to remove a severed length of the insulation layer from the insulated conductor.

Insulation stripping tool

A pliers-type insulation stripping tool includes a pair of blade holders that are removably connected with the pull rod that longitudinally displaces the blades relative to the handle shell when a severed length of insulation is stripped from the insulated conductor. A resilient ejector arrangement in provided for ejecting from the handle shell the length of stripped insulation. In order to permit use of the insulation stripping tool with insulated conductors of various sizes and diameters, a blade depth adjusting device is provided for adjusting the distance between at least one of the blade holders and the associated clamping jaw.
