The present invention relates to an apparatus for driving and measuring a MEMS mirror system, the MEMS mirror system having a mirror pivotable around an axis by a driving coil and exhibiting a resonance frequency, having a pulse generator and a measuring unit, each electrically connected to the coil. The pulse generator is preferably configured to feed a modulated pulse signal, comprised of pulses separated by intervals and having a modulation frequency different from the resonance frequency, to the coil. The measuring unit is preferably configured to measure a value of a signal output by the coil during an interval of the modulated pulse signal. In a further aspect of the invention a method is provided for driving and measuring the MEMS mirror system.

A device for generating multiple collimated light beams includes a carrier and at least two light generation units mounted on the carrier. The light generation units are configured to emit, each from an aperture, light beams at respectively different wavelengths and being arranged, with respect to axes of the light beams, substantially parallel and substantially in a common plane. A first lens is mounted on the carrier intersectingly to the axes of the light beams and has a principal plane. The light generation units have their apertures aligned along an alignment line substantially perpendicular to the axes of the light beams and the principal plane of the first lens is non-perpendicular to the axes of the light beams and is non-parallel to the alignment line.

One embodiment of the present invention relates to an analog correlation unit comprising a plurality of parallel correlation components configured to operating according to an advanced switched-capacitor low pass filter principle that increases coding gain of the unit. Each correlation component comprises a sampling stage and a correlation stage. The sampling stage may comprise a switched capacitor configured to sample a received baseband signal to determine a value (e.g., polarity) of the baseband signal. The sampled baseband signal is provided to the correlation stages, which may respectively comprise a plurality of switched integrators configured to selectively receive and integrate the sampled baseband signal over time depending upon values (e.g., polarity) of the correlation code to generate voltage potential values. The analog correlation result is evaluated by a comparison of an adjustable threshold voltage with the difference between the output voltage potential values.
