A method for operating a cooling device, a cooling device and a test chamber having a cooling device, a temperature of at least −80° C. or lower being established at the heat exchanger by means of the cooling device having a cooling circuit comprising a refrigerant, a heat exchanger, an internal heat exchanger, a compressor, a condenser and a controllable expansion element of the cooling device, the refrigerant undergoing a phase transition in the heat exchanger, the refrigerant of a high-pressure side of the cooling circuit being cooled by means of the internal heat exchanger, the cooling of the refrigerant of the high-pressure side by means of the internal heat exchanger being used to reduce an evaporation temperature at the expansion element, a zeotropic refrigerant being used as refrigerant, the expansion element being controlled by means of a control device of the cooling device in such a manner that the refrigerant partially freezes during an expansion at the expansion element.

Cooling device, a test chamber and a method

The invention relates to a refrigerant for a cooling device () comprising a cooling circuit () comprising at least one heat exchanger (), the refrigerant undergoing a phase transition in the heat exchanger, the refrigerant being a refrigerant mixture composed of a fraction of carbon dioxide (CO), a fraction of 1,1-difluoroethene and a fraction of at least one other component, wherein the fraction of carbon dioxide in the refrigerant mixture is 45 to 90 mole percent, the fraction of 1,1-difluoroethene being 5 to 40 mole percent.

Refrigerant

A refrigerant for a cooling device () comprising a cooling circuit () with at least one heat exchanger, in which the refrigerant undergoes a phase transition, the refrigerant being a refrigerant mixture composed of a mass fraction of carbon dioxide and a mass fraction of at least one other component, wherein the mass fraction of carbon dioxide in the refrigerant mixture is 10 to 50 mass percent, preferably 30 to 50 mass percent, the other component being pentafluoroethane and/or difluoromethane.

Coolant

An illumination module for a test chamber, a test chamber and a method for modifying a test chamber. The test chamber includes a temperature-insulated test space sealable against an environment for receiving test material. The illumination module can be disposed at least partially in the test space to illuminate the test space and includes an illuminant and a socket, a wall duct and a light conducting device. The wall duct is disposed in a wall surrounding the test space and extends from an inner side to an outer side of the wall. The light conducting device has a light exit area and a light entry area and is disposed within the wall duct. The socket is disposed at the outer end positioning the illuminant at the light entry area. The light exit area is disposed at the inner end.

Illumination device and test chamber

A refrigerant for a cooling device comprising a cooling circuit with at least one heat exchanger, the refrigerant undergoing a phase transition in the heat exchanger, the refrigerant being a refrigerant mixture composed of a mass fraction of carbon dioxide (CO), a mass fraction of pentafluoroethane (CHF) and a mass fraction of at least one other component, wherein the mass fraction of carbon dioxide in the refrigerant mixture is up to 60 mass percent, the mass fraction of pentafluoroethane being 11 to 72 mass percent, the other component being 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene (CHF), the mass fraction of 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene being up to 51 mass percent.

A temperature chamber for conditioning air includes a temperature-insulated space which receives test material, and a temperature control device for controlling the temperature of the test space. The temperature control device allows a temperature in a range of &#x2212;50&#xb0; C. to +180&#xb0; C. to be established within the space, and has a cooling device including a cooling circuit with a refrigerant, a heat exchanger, a compressor, a condenser, and an expansion element. A jet device is connected to a low-pressure side of the cooling circuit downstream of the heat exchanger and upstream of the compressor, a first bypass is connected to a high-pressure side of the cooling circuit downstream of the compressor, and the refrigerant is suppliable to the jet device from the high-pressure side via the first bypass as a driving fluid.

Temperature chamber and method

A method for conditioning air in a test space of a test chamber which receives test material. A temperature in a range of &#x2212;20&#xb0; C. to +180&#xb0; C. is established within the test space with a cooling device. The cooling device includes a cooling circuit with a refrigerant, a heat exchanger, a compressor, a condenser and an expansion element. An internal heat exchanger of the cooling circuit is connected to a high-pressure side of the cooling circuit upstream of the expansion element and downstream of the condenser and to a low-pressure side of the cooling circuit upstream of the compressor and downstream of the heat exchanger and is used to cool the refrigerant of the high-pressure side. A zeotropic refrigerant is used and the internal heat exchanger is used to cool the refrigerant of the high-pressure side to lower an evaporation temperature at the expansion element.

Air conditioning method and device

A test chamber and a method for conditioning air includes a temperature-insulated test space which can be closed off from the surroundings, and a temperature control device for controlling the temperature of the test space. The temperature control device allows a temperature in a temperature range of &#x2212;20&#xb0; C. to +180&#xb0; C. to be established within the test space, and includes a cooling circuit with a refrigerant, a heat exchanger, a compressor, a condenser, and an expansion element. The cooling circuit has an internal storage device connected to a high-pressure side of the cooling circuit upstream of the expansion element and downstream of the condenser and to a low-pressure side of the cooling circuit upstream of the compressor and downstream of the heat exchanger via a bypass of the cooling circuit. Thermal energy is stored and exchanged with the refrigerant through the internal storage device.

Test chamber and method

A method for conditioning a fluid in a temperature-insulated test space and a test space of a test chamber for receiving test materials. A cascading cooling device creates a particular temperature range within the test space, and the cooling device has a first cooling circuit including a cascading heat exchanger, a first compressor, a condenser and a first expanding element, and a second cooling circuit including a heat exchanger, a second compressor, the cascading heat exchanger and a second expanding element The cascading heat exchanger is cooled by the first cooling circuit, the heat exchanger is cooled by a bypass passing through the heat exchanger and bridging the cascading heat exchanger, the first compressor is turned off, and a first refrigerant is conducted and condensed in a gaseous state in the cascading heat exchanger on a low-pressure side of the bypass.

A refrigerant for a cooling device including a cooling circuit with at least one heat exchanger, the refrigerant undergoing a phase transition in the heat exchanger, the refrigerant being a refrigerant mixture composed of a mass fraction of carbon dioxide, a mass fraction of pentafluoroethane, a mass fraction of difluoromethane and a mass fraction of at least one other component, wherein the mass fraction of carbon dioxide in the refrigerant mixture is 28 to 51 mass percent, the mass fraction of pentafluoroethane being 14.5 to 32 mass percent, the mass fraction of difluoromethane being 14.5 to 38 mass percent, the other component being fluoromethane.

A test chamber () for conditioning air has a test space (), and a temperature control device () for controlling the temperature of the test space and allowing a temperature in a range of &#x2212;80&#xb0; C. to +180&#xb0; C., preferably &#x2212;100&#xb0; C. to +200&#xb0; C., to be established within the test space, the temperature control device having a cooling device () with a cooling circuit (), a heat exchanger (), a compressor (), a condenser (), and an expansion element (), wherein the refrigerant is a nearly azeotropic and/or zeotropic refrigerant mixture of a mass percentage of carbon dioxide and a mass percentage of at least one of the components ethane, ethene, hexafluoroethane, pentafluoroethane, monofluoro-ethane, 1,1-difluoroethene, fluoromethane and/or propane and/or xenon, the refrigerant having a relative CO2 equivalent of &#x3c;3000, preferably &#x3c;500, in particular preferably &#x3c;10, with respect to 20 years.

Test chamber

The invention relates to a humidifier () for a test chamber, in particular a climate chamber or the like, as well as to a method for conditioning air of a test space of a test chamber, said humidifier comprising a container () having a container interior () for receiving a water bath (), a heating device () of a temperature-control system () for controlling the temperature of the water bath, and a ventilation system () for generating air bubbles () in the water bath, a container opening () being formed in the container above the water bath in order to connect the container interior to a test space of a test chamber, said humidifier comprising a cooling device () of the temperature-control system.

Humidifier and method for conditioning air

A climatic test system includes a test chamber adapted to hold a unit under test within the housing, and a refrigeration system that is adapted to cool air within the chamber. The refrigeration system includes a high stage, a low stage, and a cascade heat exchanger between said high and low stages. The low stage includes a refrigeration cycle having a low stage compressor, a low stage condenser, a low stage expansion device, and a low stage evaporator. The low stage evaporator is in heat exchange relationship with the chamber. The high stage includes a refrigeration cycle having a high stage compressor, a high stage condenser, and a cascade heat exchanger evaporator that is in heat exchange relationship with the low stage condenser, thereby defining the cascade heat exchanger. The high stage further has a first high stage expansion device supplying refrigerant from the high stage condenser to the cascade heat exchanger evaporator during cascade operation. The high stage further includes one or more additional high stage evaporator in heat exchange relationship with the test chamber and one or more additional high stage expansion device supplying refrigerant from the high stage condenser to the additional high stage evaporator(s) during single stage operation. A control controls operation of the refrigeration system in at least a single stage operation and a cascade operation. The additional high stage evaporator(s) is connected with the cascade heat exchanger evaporator wherein mass flowing through said at least one additional evaporator flows through the cascade heat exchanger evaporator.

Climatic test chamber with stable cascading direct expansion refrigeration system

A test chamber for conditioning air has a temperature-insulated test space sealable against an environment for receiving test materials and a temperature control device for controlling the temperature of the test space, a temperature ranging from &#x2212;20&#xb0; C. to +180&#xb0; C. in temperature being able to be realized within the test space by means of the temperature control device, said temperature control device comprising a cooling device having a cooling cycle having a refrigerant, a heat transmitter, a compressor, a condenser and an expanding element, the cooling cycle comprising an internal heat transmitter, the internal heat transmitter being connected to a high-pressure side of the cooling cycle upstream of the expanding element and downstream of the condenser in a flow direction, said refrigerant being able to cooled by means of the internal heat transmitter which is coupled to an adjustable supplementary refrigeration of the cooling device.
