A plug-in coupling for connecting a first to a second double-walled, vacuum-insulated cryogenic line includes a coupling plug and a coupling socket. The coupling plug has an inner and an outer pipe piece and a first connecting flange and is connected to the first cryogenic line. The coupling socket has an inner and an outer pipe piece and a second connecting flange and is connected to the second cryogenic line. In an assembled state of the plug-in coupling, the coupling plug has been plugged into an open annular gap in the coupling socket. The annular gap is surrounded both at its inner circumference and at its outer circumference by an insulating vacuum, whereby the thermal insulation of the plug-in coupling is improved. This construction makes possible a shorter design of the plug-in coupling, which, while achieving good thermal insulation, is space-saving and easy to handle.

A method for localizing a short circuit between a conductor and an electrically conductive shield of a high-voltage cable comprises providing at least two measuring apparatuses arranged at the high-voltage cable at a known distance from one another and having timers, synchronized with one another, and a measuring device for detecting an electric current flowing in the shield and/or an earthing line connecting the shield and earth. The measuring apparatus transmits pairs of current measurement values and associated values of the timer to an analysis unit, which, upon the occurrence of a current exceeding a threshold value and/or of a current profile over time that satisfies specific stipulations, feeds to a calculation unit the associated values of the timers and also an indication about the location of the measurement, for which first effects of the short circuit occurred. The calculation unit calculates the location of a short circuit from the known distance between the measuring apparatuses and a difference between the values of the synchronized timers.

Method and system for localizing a short circuit between a conductor and an electrically conductive shield surrounding said conductor

A high-voltage cable sealing end () has a primary volume () and a secondary volume () fluidically connected thereto, which are filled with an insulating fluid. The primary volume () and the secondary volume () are sealed with respect to the atmosphere surrounding the high-voltage cable sealing end (). The secondary volume () can be disconnected from the primary volume () via a separable connection () which can be cut off in a fluid-tight manner. A drying agent, which draws moisture out of the insulating fluid, is introduced into the secondary volume ().

Sealing end for high-voltage cables

A corrugating unit is used which presses a first corrugation into the pipe which is moved in its longitudinal direction through the corrugating device. The spacing between the wave peaks is subsequently reduced, for obtaining a second corrugation, by a clamping unit composed of two separately arranged clamping devices resting against the pipe. The pipe provided with a first corrugation is pressed continuously by the first clamping device against a fixed point realized by the second clamping device, which, in the position of operation, is arranged, in relation to the clamping device, in axial direction behind the first clamping device. Both clamping devices are removed cyclically from the pipe and are moved back into a new position in the opposite direction of the direction of movement of the pipe and, in this new position, again rest in the two different areas against the pipe.

Method and device for manufacturing a corrugated metal pipe

A pipe for underwater transportation of fluid is indicated which includes a pressure-tight metal inner pipe for conducting the fluid, wherein for its stabilization in radial direction at least one profiled metal strand and for stabilizing in the axial direction at least one tension-proof strand are wound around the inner pipe. The inner pipe () is a metal pipe which is corrugated transversely of its longitudinal direction and which for stabilization in the radial direction is surrounded by at least one first radial reinforcement () which is composed of a profiled helically extending profile strip whose windings are placed closely next to each other or engage each other and are hooked together. Arranged around the first radial reinforcement () is arranged a metal pipe corrugated transversely of its longitudinal direction as the outer pipe (); at least two layers of tension-proof strands () are wound around the outer pipe (), preferably with oppositely directed pitch.

Underwater conduit for fluid transport

An arrangement is provided for a helically undulated pipe made of metal, which has an end face extending along a turn of the thread of its undulation and a connecting element to be fastened to the pipe. The connecting element includes a pipe piece which has a helically extending inner surface corresponding to the turn of the thread of the undulation of the pipe. The pipe piece is mounted on the pipe in the undulation of the pipe. A metal ring is arranged on the pipe piece, where the pipe piece has sections with different inner diameters arranged one behind the other in the axial direction.

Arrangement with a metal pipe and a connecting element, as well as method of mounting the connecting element

A coupling arrangement has a coupling body and a helically shaped undulated metal pipe which has an end face extending along a screw thread of its undulation. A metal holding ring is mounted on the connecting part resting against the latter, where the outer diameter of the holding ring corresponds approximately to the outer diameter of the pipe, where the end face of the holding ring facing the pipe extends along a screw thread corresponding to the screw thread of the pipe, and where the holding ring is connected in the mounted position, fixedly to the connecting part by resting fixedly and tightly against the end face of the pipe.

Coupling arrangement comprising a coupling body and a metal pipe, as well as method for assembly of the coupling body

A pipeline for the transport of a pressurized flowable medium, consisting of a metal tube corrugated transversely to its longitudinal direction and of a hose which is arranged in the same and consists of plastic. In the position of use the hose bears against the inwardly pointing wave troughs of the metal tube, which hose has a multiplicity of holes separated from one another in the wall of the same over its entire axial length. The wave troughs of the metal tube penetrate slightly into the surface of the hose so as to fix the latter with respect to axial loads.

Pipeline and method for producing the same

A flexible conduit pipe for transporting fluids is specified, which consists of two corrugated metallic tubes, an inner tube () and an outer tube (), which are arranged concentrically to one another and are separated from one another by an encircling annular space in which a spacing means is arranged. The spacing means consists of a plurality of rings () which bear with a basic body () against inner tube () and outer tube () and are arranged at an axial distance from one another in the annular space (). The rings () have on their inner circumferential surface a rib () which extends in the circumferential direction, corresponds to the corrugation of the inner tube () and engages in a respective corrugation trough of the inner tube (). At least three projections () are provided at least on one part of the rings () on their basic body (), which projections () are offset from one another in the circumferential direction, protrude radially outwards and engage in the corrugation of the outer tube ().

A plug-in coupling for cryogenic lines is described, having at least two pipes () fitted one inside the other like a male/female connection while forming an annular gap (), in which plug-in coupling the pipes () are releasably connected to one another by a flange connection () located at their 'warm' end, the annular gap () between the two pipes () is sealed at the 'cold' end by an annular seal () and at the &#x201c;warm&#x201d; end by an annular seal () located in the region of the flange connection (), and the annular gap () is connected to a safety valve () in the region of the flange connection ().

Current limiting device

A termination for a superconductive cable () is provided, consisting of a pressure-tight metal inner container () in which there is a liquid refrigerant and into which the cable protrudes, and a metal outer container () which is separated from the inner container by an intermediate space () in which vacuum insulation is applied. A first rupture diaphragm () is applied in the wall of the inner container () and a second rupture diaphragm () is applied in the wall of the outer container () level with the first rupture diaphragm (). An evacuated relief space (), which contains superinsulation and is sealed from the intermediate space () with the vacuum insulation by a pressure-tight wall (), is provided between the two rupture diaphragms ().

Termination for a superconductive cable

An arrangement for monitoring the leak-tightness of an evacuated space which is hermetically closed, leak-tight, by means of at least one metallic wall is specified. A device which is connected to the evacuated space indicates an inadmissible pressure rise in the evacuated space caused by a leak in the wall. The device includes a metallic bellows, which is hermetically connected, leak-tight, to the evacuated space, and an electrical proximity switch to which an evaluation unit is connected. The proximity switch () is mounted, in the direction of movement of the bellows (), at a distance from the end face of the latter, the size of which is varied as a function of the respective axial length of the bellows (). A tube () connected fixedly to the wall () is mounted around the bellows (), so as to maintain an air gap, surrounds the bellows () in a moisture-tight manner and is longer than the bellows () in its longest initial position corresponding to the expanded state. The proximity switch () projects into the tube () so as to be sealed off with respect to the latter.

Arrangement for monitoring the leak-tightness of an evacuated space

A line pipe for the transport of deep-frozen media, consisting of at least two corrugated metal pipes () arranged concentrically and at a distance from one another, an insulation layer () being arranged in the annular gap between the two metal pipes (), the annular gap being evacuated, and a closing valve () provided in the outer metal pipe () being connectable to a vacuum pump, the closing valve being welded, vacuum-tight, into a smooth-walled metal pipe () welded, vacuum-tight, to the exterior of the metal pipes (). The valve body () of the closing valve projects into the interior of the smooth-walled metal pipe () and is flush with the outer surface area of the smooth-walled metal pipe ().

Line pipe for the transport of deep-frozen media

A method for producing longitudinally welded helically corrugated metal tubing, wherein a metal strip pulled from a strip supply is formed into tubing with a longitudinal slit, the longitudinal slit is sealed by welding and the corrugation is produced by a corrugation tool that is supported eccentrically and at an angle to the tubing axis, is freely rotatable in a rotationally driven corrugator head, and rolls off the surface of the tubing. The metal strip as well as the uncorrugated metal tubing are advanced by a feed device that is provided between the welding point and the corrugation unit. A second feed device ( ) engages the corrugated tubing ( ) directly behind the corrugation unit ( ), and the feed rate of the second feed device is slower than the forward feed rate of the corrugated tubing ( ) which results from the pitch of the corrugator disk and the rotational speed of the corrugator head.
