A mechanism () for an automated Karl Fischer ('KF') titration system () includes a support console (), a first vertical guide rail element (), solidly attached to the support console, and a carriage unit (), slidably constrained to the first vertical guide rail element, allowing the carriage unit a first degree of linear vertical mobility relative to the support console. The carriage unit holds a vial lift unit () with a lift platform () for a sample vial (). The carriage unit, in a downward movement phase, lowers the lift platform from a starting position into an oven cavity of the titration system. A subsequent upward movement phase raises the lift platform to the starting position. A second vertical guide rail element, solidly connected to the lift platform and slidably constrained to the carriage unit, enables a second degree of linear vertical mobility of the lift platform.

Vial-handling mechanism for an automated Karl Fischer titration system

An analytical device has an oven arrangement () with an oven (), an insulation system, a ventilation system and a housing. The ventilation system has a first convection system that uses natural convection, arranged to keep the housing cool, as well as a second convection system that uses forced convection, arranged to reduce the temperature in the oven (). In particular, the analytical device is a component of a Karl Fischer titration instrument.

Oven insulation arrangement

An instrument for measuring density, with a housing () and a measurement cell () arranged therein. The housing has an inlet opening and an outlet opening for a fluid sample, with a first adapter () for connecting the inlet opening to a sample reservoir (), with a second adapter (), for connecting the outlet opening to a waste container (), and with an adapter housing (), which is attached to the housing. The adapter housing comprises a feed-through for the first and second adapters, characterized in that the adapter housing is designed in one piece, and the adapters can each be affixed in the adapter housing first fastening means without tools.

Measurement instrument for density determination

A refractometer has a housing (), a measurement cell () arranged in the housing (), and a lid unit (). The lid unit has a base plate () with a cutout () allowing access to the measurement cell, and a lid () for covering the measurement cell. The lid is connected to the base plate by way of a hinge. The lid unit also has a lid insert () that is arranged replaceably in the lid. The lid unit () is detachably connected to the housing by means of a connecting element that is itself connected to the base plate.
