A measurement setup for measuring attenuation through an irregular surface of a device under test is described. The measurement setup includes a positioning system, a reference reflector, and a three dimensional imaging system. The measurement setup has a reference state and a measurement state, wherein respective images are taken in the different states. The imaging system is configured to compare the images taken in the reference state and the measurement state to determine the attenuation of the device under test. Further, a reference reflector as well as a method for measuring attenuation are described.

A measurement setup for measuring attenuation through an irregular surface of a device under test is described. The measurement setup comprises a positioning system, a reference reflector having a collection of diffuse scattering members, and a three dimensional imaging system. The measurement setup has a reference state and a measurement state, wherein respective images are taken in the different states. The imaging system is configured to compare the images taken in the reference state and the measurement state to determine the attenuation of the device under test. Further, a reference reflector as well as a method for measuring attenuation are described.

The present disclosure relates to a method for the registration of a 3-dimensional all-round view of a moving human or animal body surface. The method accordingly comprises the steps: determination (A) of a movement velocity of at least one region of the body surface and registration (B) at least of the region of the body surface at a timing point at which the value of the movement velocity of this region falls below a defined threshold value.

A method for determining the place of origin of a passive intermodulation product excites a distributed device under test with two first excitation signals (x(t), x(t), each with a single spectral line, of which the frequencies (f, f) provide a frequency spacing relative to one another. Following this, the phase (&#x3c6;) of a first passive intermodulation product generated at the place of origin in the distributed device under test from the first excitation signals ((x(t), x(t)) by nonlinear distortion is measured, and the delay time of the first passive intermodulation product from the place of origin to the measuring device is calculated from the measured phase (x(t), x(t)) and the frequency (2&#xb7;f&#x2212;f) of the first passive intermodulation product. Finally, the place of origin of the passive intermodulation product is determined from the delay time and the topology of the distributed device under test.

Method and a system for determining the place of origin of passive intermodulation products

The present disclosure provides a method and a corresponding device for extending the illumination of an object under investigation. The object under investigation is illuminated with an electromagnetic microwave signal which is transmitted from a transmission antenna. The microwave signal reflected from the object under investigation is received by at least one reception antenna. An image of the object under investigation is reconstructed through synthetic focusing of the reflected microwave signal. At least one reflector element is arranged orientated towards the object under investigation and the microwave signals reflected from the reflector element and from the object under investigation are received in a reception antenna and used for the reconstruction of the image of the object under investigation in addition to the microwave rays from a transmission antenna which strike the object under investigation without reflection on the reflector element and are received by the reception antenna without reflection on the reflector element.

Method and a device for extending the illumination of a test object

A printed-circuit board arrangement electrically connects the at least one transmitter and/or receiver unit with at least one antenna element, whereas the at least one transmitter and/or receiver unit and the at least one antenna element are at least partially integrated into the printed-circuit board arrangement. In this context, the printed-circuit board arrangement includes different printed circuit boards, which are mechanically connected to one another in a rigid manner. A first part of the printed-circuit board arrangement is formed by at least one printed-circuit board, of which the substrate is made from a first material which is suitable for high-frequency, and a second part of the printed-circuit board arrangement is formed by at least one printed-circuit board, of which the substrate is made from a second material different from the first material, which is still sufficiently suitable for a low frequency and/or for a direct-voltage range.

The synthesizer device contains at least one direct digital synthesizer and generates at least two signals of known phase ratio. The measuring device contains only frequency splitters, which divide by integer division factors.

A measuring device used for registering a test signal originating from a circuit structure applied to a wafer. The measuring device provides at least one test probe and at least one test transformer. A test coupler for supplying a device under test with test signals contains a first coaxial connector, a waveguide port, and a first strip conductor. Test signals of a lower frequency range are supplied to the first coaxial connector. Test signals of an upper frequency range are supplied to the waveguide port. A coupler comprises a first line and a second line in each case with two connectors. The lines run in spatial proximity and are coupled. A first connector of the first line and a first connector of the second line are disposed in spatial proximity. A signal does not couple or couples only with a high attenuation from the first connector of the first line to the first connector of the second line. A method for operating a measuring device, in particular, a vectorial network analyzer, which can be connected via at least two ports to a device under test, with excitation units assigned to each port, wherein each excitation unit provides a signal generator, with which the assigned port can be supplied with an excitation signal, provides the following procedural stages: a measurement at measuring positions of the actual phase offset between the excitation signals output at the ports; and a variation of the frequency of at least one of the two signal generators during a correction interval so that a specified set phase offset is achieved at reference positions between the excitation signals output at the ports.

A method and a device for increasing the dynamic range and measuring accuracy of a measuring device for spectrum and/or network analysis images a high-frequency electronic signal within a frequency range into at least two spectra through a first frequency translation by means of a mixer of the measuring device. As a result of the first frequency translation, the spectrum of the high-frequency electronic signal is successively imaged within the resolution bandwidth (&#x394;F) of an intermediate frequency filter of the measuring device. At the same time, through a second frequency translation, every spectral line of interference signals generated in the measuring device comes to be disposed outside the resolution bandwidth (&#x394;F) of the intermediate frequency filter.

Method and device for increasing the dynamic range and measuring accuracy of a measuring device for spectrum and/or network analysis

A measuring device (e.g., a vectorial network analyzer) by means of at least two ports can be connected to a device under test and has associated excitation/receiving units (ERUs), each thereof having one port. At least one ERU has a signal generator, which can apply an excitation signal onto a device under test. Each ERU possesses two receiving apparatuses (each with a mixer in connection with an oscillator signal) to receive the excitation signal, the reflected signal from the associated port or the signal transmitted to the associated port and converts said signal into an intermediate signal. Each ERU exhibits its own oscillator separate from the signal generator, and generates the oscillator signal for the mixer of the receiving apparatus of the ERU, whereby the frequency and/or phase of the oscillator signals, can be adjusted independently of the frequency and/or phase of oscillator signals of the oscillators of other ERUs.
