In a method of producing an add-on part of a drive, one circuit board of multiple planar circuit boards, which have electrical conductor tracks with electrical connections, is provided with a centrally arranged opening for passage of a shaft. The circuit boards are populated with electrical and/or electronic components, and the populated electrical and/or electronic components and wiring are electrically tested. Segments made of a material with high thermal conductivity are arranged on at least two of the multiple circuit boards such that a bending process in a region of the electrical connections between the at least two circuit boards causes the segments to form an approximately peripherally closed cover. Lids are arranged on open sides of the cover to realize a closed housing arrangement.

A drive includes a dynamoelectric rotational machine, an electronic add-on part, and a fan unit arranged axially behind one another. The fan unit generates a cooling air flow and is embodied as a two-zone fan having axial fan elements which define a first zone to generate essentially an axial air flow and include an articulated joint with an elastic region with sufficient restoring force, and radial fan blades which define a second zone that radially adjoins the first zone and generate essentially a radial air flow. Free spaces are provided at least between a housing arrangement and the fan unit and/or between the housing arrangement and a bearing shield of the dynamoelectric rotational machine and/or between the housing arrangement and/or a shaft of the dynamoelectric rotational machine, with the free spaces being acted upon during operation of the fan unit by the cooling air flow and a Venturi effect.

A computer-implemented method for providing a simulation model of an electric rotating machine is disclosed. The simulation model is defined by parameter values. Input data is obtained. The input data is collectable using the electric rotating machine when the electric rotating machine is not connected to an operating voltage and being characteristic of the electric rotating machine. The parameter values are determined from the input data using a trained function and the parameter values determined are provided.

A stator for a rotating electric machine includes a laminate stack having a plurality of slots open towards an air gap between the stator and a rotor of the electric machine. A winding includes coils which have turns that pass through the slots of the laminate stack. The turns of the coils are electrically insulated the within the slots from each other and from the laminate stack by a ceramic material.

A cage rotor for an electrical machine includes a rotor laminated core having a groove, and a short-circuiting ring having a first material and cast onto an axial end of the rotor laminated core. Arranged in the groove is a bar which has a bar end. In a method for testing a bar winding of a rotor of a rotating electrical machine, a rotor temperature is detected by a thermal radiation sensor, which is arranged in a stator of the rotating electrical machine. A thermal radiation sensor is used with a resolution suitable for the thermal detection of individual bars of the bar winding. The rotor is rotated at a speed that is lower than a limit frequency of the thermal radiation sensor divided by the number of bars of the bar winding, and the thermal radiation of the rotor is detected by the thermal radiation sensor. The thermal radiation sensor is sampled at a sampling frequency that is higher than the speed of the rotor multiplied by the number of bars and the sampled values of the thermal radiation sensor are evaluated.

An electric machine with improved cooling efficiency includes a stator, a rotor operating as a rotor fan and comprising a shaft defining an axial direction and having radial and axial cooling channels, and an axial fan configured as a twin axial fan and arranged coaxially with the shaft and supplying a coolant to the axial cooling channels. The axial fan has first and second blade rings and a funnel-shaped tube with a smaller opening directly connected to the axial cooling channels of the rotor to deliver coolant to the axial cooling channels of the rotor, and a larger opening, which is non-rotatably connected to and encloses the first blade ring. The second blade ring is firmly attached at an outer circumference of the funnel-shaped tube to deliver the coolant to the stator. Both the stator and the rotor can be cooled using an efficient coolant flow.
