A composition for dyeing keratin fibres comprising a. at least one azomethine compound selected from compounds (3) and (4) and b. water. The composition may be used in a process for dyeing keratin fibres or, with simultaneous or sequential application of a composition comprising one or more oxidising agents, in a process for lightening keratin fibres.

Disclosed are compounds of formula (1) or formula (2). The compounds are useful for the dyeing of organic materials, such as keratin fibers, wool, leather, silk, cellulose or polyamides, especially keratin-containing fibers, cotton or nylon, and preferably hair, more preferably human hair. Disulfide dyes

Functionalized nanoparticles, which are obtainable by combining in a first step a functionalized dyestuff, a silicon-based spacer and a catalyst, and in a second step reacting the product obtained in the first step with a co-reactive organic silicon, aluminum, zirconium or titanium compound. Optionally, the thus obtained functionalized nanoparticles can be combined or encapsulated with a polymer. The functionalized nanoparticles are useful as colorants and fluorescents in plastics, paints, inks, electronic materials, cosmetic articles, and the like.

Functionalized core-shell nanoparticles

Disulfide or thiol polymeric hair dyes

Disclosed are polymeric dyes of formula (1a), (1b), or (1c); wherein the substituents and variables are defined in the claims and specification. The dyes are distinguished by their depth of shade and their good fastness properties to washing, such as, for example, fastness to light, shampooing and rubbing. 

Polymeric hair dyes

Polymeric dye comprising oligo and polypeptides selected from natural or synthetic aminoacids bearing at least one covalently bounded cationic dye. Very good dyeing results on human hair are obtained with these dyes.

Disclosed are cationic polymeric dye with a hue value of h=210&#xb0; to 330&#xb0; comprising: a) a polymer backbone, b) a residue of an organic dye, and c) optionally colorless organic groups, wherein (b) and (c) are covalently bound to the polymer backbone (a), and wherein the cationic charges can independently be part of the dye or the colorless organic groups. Blue polymeric hair dyes

Disclosed are cationic oligomeric dye, comprising a low molecular weight polyamine comprising the repeating units (1a) or (1b), wherein at least 90% of the polyamine molecules are selected from tetramines, pentamines and hexamines; and R is the residue of a cationic dye, which is covalently bonded, optionally via a linker, to the nitrogen atoms of the polyamine; or hydrogen; wherein the polyamine repeating units (1a) and (1b) comprise at least one carionic dye residue; and n is a number from 3-12. Disclosed are mixtures of sulfide dyes and dyeing compositions comprising mixtures of sulfide dyes. The dye mixtures are useful for the dyeing of organic materials, such as keratin fibers, preferably human hair.
