A cover panel for a storage area of a motor vehicle, and a corresponding method, is disclosed. An example motor vehicle includes, among other things, a rear loading flap providing access to a storage area, and a cover panel connected to the rear loading flap such that, when the rear loading flap is in a closed position, the cover panel provides an upper boundary of the storage area and is supported solely by the rear loading flap.

A device is provided for changing the volume of a loading space in a vehicle. The device includes a movable loading surface, a side wall and at least one pivotable support arranged on the side wall. The support has a support surface on which the loading surface is mounted in a raised position. The support is arranged on a pivot axis oriented perpendicularly to the loading surface.

A motor vehicle includes a tailgate that is upwardly pivotable in a rearward upward manner and on which a load compartment cover is pivotably held around a pivot axis by way of the rear end region of the load compartment cover that faces the tailgate. The load compartment cover, in a region that is spaced apart from the pivot axis by way of at least one force transmission element, is held on a vehicle body. The force transmission element, when the tailgate is upwardly pivoted, pivots the load compartment cover toward the tailgate so as to expose an access to the load compartment. At least one hook connection connects the tailgate to the load compartment cover and establishes the pivot axis.

A loading space cover for a rear loading space in a motor vehicle, includes at least one cover element for the at least partial covering of an upper side of the rear loading space. The cover element defines an upper limit of the loading space. To enable a hazard warning triangle to be carried in the motor vehicle with the least possible modification of components of the motor vehicle, the motor vehicle includes at least one fastening unit arranged on an underside of the cover element facing the loading space for the direct or indirect fastening of an accessory, preferably a hazard warning triangle, to the cover element.

An equipment box, that may be stowed in the spare-wheel well of a motor vehicle, has a main body and a cover that can be attached thereto. The main body is formed for items of equipment to be received by a housing with at least one access opening. The cover can be attached to the main body in a supporting position and in a closing position, in which the cover in each case covers different regions of the main body. The cover in these two positions lies in the same plane, turned by an angle &#x3b1;, and the cover in the closing position covers the entire main body, while in the supporting position it only covers a middle region of the main body and protrudes beyond the main body on opposite sides.
