A disc brake for a utility vehicle has a brake caliper which fits around a brake disc, is in the form of a sliding caliper, is fastened to a stationary brake carrier and has a central opening over the brake disc. The disc brake has two brake pads which are arranged in the brake caliper, can be moved in opposite directions and each have a pad carrier plate and a friction lining fastened thereto, and of which an action-side brake pad can be pressed against the brake disc by a tensioning device via at least one brake piston. The disc brake also has at least one spreading device with which the brake caliper can be returned after a displacement caused by braking and after a release of the brake. The spreading device has resilient spring units which act on the mutually opposing brake pads. The spreading device is arranged in the central opening, and the spring units act directly or indirectly outside the friction linings in at least two attachment interfaces, spaced from each other and from the center, of the brake pads. The spring units are connected to a stationary attachment element in at least one connection interface by at least one connection element.

Disc brake for a utility vehicle, and brake pad set

A disc brake includes a brake caliper that engages over a brake disc, the caliper having a central opening over the brake disc. The disc brake has two brake pads which are located in the brake caliper, can be moved in opposite directions and each of which has a pad backing plate with a friction lining secured thereon. An action-side or application-side brake pad of the two brake pads can be pressed against the brake disc by a brake application device with the aid of at least one brake plunger. The brake also has at least one restoring device, by which the brake caliper can be returned. The restoring device has a spreading device which engages on the brake pads lying opposite one another and which acts with an identical force in opposition to the respective application direction. The spreading device has spring-loaded spreading elements, each engaging on its respective pad backing plate. The spreading device is located in the central opening and the spreading elements engage directly or indirectly, outside the friction linings, on at least two contact regions of the brake pads. These regions face each other at a distance from the center. The spreading device has spring-loaded arms which are interconnected in the central region of the opening and connected to a retaining bracket which is attached to the brake support plate.

Disc brake for a commercial vehicle and brake pad set

A disc brake, preferably actuated by compressed air, for a motor vehicle, has a brake caliper which has a brake application section with a brake application device with a rotary brake lever, at least one wear adjusting device for adjusting wear of brake pads, and a brake disc with a synchronization unit which includes an adjusting device, a drive device and a synchronizer. The adjusting device and the drive unit are inserted in each case into a threaded plunger of a spindle unit and are attached by way of a mounting arrangement on a bearing wall of the brake application section of the brake caliper. The synchronization unit is installed with the adjusting device and the drive device as a preassembled group into the brake application section of the brake caliper, wherein the synchronizer is arranged in the region of the mounting arrangements on the bearing wall within the brake application section. A method for installing a synchronization unit is provided.

A brake pad retainer is provided for a disc brake for a commercial vehicle. A pad retaining bracket is supported by pad retaining springs on both sides of a brake disc on a brake pad arranged in a brake caliper. The pad retaining bracket tensions a mounting opening of the brake caliper in the direction of the axis of the brake disc and is maintained at least on one side by a bolt-shaped securing element in a securing eye of the brake caliper. The brake pad retainer is designed such that the securing element is formed from an eccentric bolt having a shaft and at least one eccentric section which is positioned so that it is axially offset with respect the shaft.

A brake pad mounting is provided for a disc brake for a commercial vehicle, having a pad mounting bracket which is supported on pad holding springs of brake pads which are arranged in a brake caliper on both sides of a brake disc. The pad mounting bracket spans a mounting opening of the brake caliper in the axial direction of the brake disc and is held in a fastening socket of the brake caliper at least on one side by way of a securing bolt, is configured in such a way that the securing bolt consists of two individual parts which are connected to one another in a positively locking and/or nonpositive and/or integrally joined manner and, on the end side, have in each case one head which can bear against an associated side surface of the pad mounting bracket.

A disk brake includes a brake caliper and two brake pads, which can be pressed onto a brake disk on both sides and which each have a pad carrier plate and a friction pad fastened thereto. A pad retaining clip, which is retained on the brake caliper and which spans an installation opening, is supported on the brake pads. The pad retaining clip is fastened to a form closure element of at least one brake pad so as to be secured against movement.

An adjusting device is disclosed for adjusting friction surface wear on brake linings and a brake disk of a disk brake. The adjusting device is couplable to a brake application device on the drive side, and to a spindle unit of the disk brake on the output side. The adjusting device includes a drive element on both sides of which a rolling element assembly is axially arranged; a pressure element; an output element coupled to the pressure element for coupling to a coupling wheel; an energy storage element; and a support body, one end of which is connected to a bearing plate and around which the drive element, the rolling element assemblies, the output element and the energy storage element are arranged axially in series with the bearing plate. The energy storage element is arranged between a bearing portion of the support body and the pressure element.
