The operation of a hybrid powertrain system is optimized with respect to a desired state-of-charge trajectory, taking account of the estimated anticipated vehicle drive power. The hybrid powertrain system has an internal combustion engine and an electrically operated torque machine. The internal combustion engine and the torque machine are controlled by a control device and are connected to an output element via a hybrid transmission. Before the start of the prediction period &#x394;t, an experience-based state-of-charge trajectory for the anticipated route, covering at least the prediction period &#x394;t, is retrieved from an external database. The desired state-of-charge trajectory is established based on the experience-based state-of-charge trajectory by modifying it with at least one optimization constraint. The experience-based state-of-charge trajectory can be established based on operating data from hybrid powertrain systems of multiple vehicles and/or from operating data from multiple comparable journeys with the same vehicle.

Method for operating a vehicle with a hybrid drive train

To improve the identification of system parameters of a test setup of a test bench there is provision for the test setup to be dynamically excited on the test bench by virtue of a dynamic input signal being applied to the test setup. Measured values of the input signal of the test setup and of a resultant output signal of the test setup are recorded. A frequency response of the dynamic response of the test setup between the output signal and the input signal is determined using a nonparametric identification method. A model structure of a parametric model that maps the input signal onto the output signal is derived from the frequency response. The model structure and a parametric identification method are used to determine at least one system parameter of the test setup, and the at least one identified system parameter is used to perform the test run.

Test bench and method for performing a dynamic test run for a test setup

In order to be able to construct test scenarios for vehicle development, with which tests can be carried out on a test bench during development, according to the present teaching, an output test in the form of a sequence of driving manoeuvres is carried out on the test bench with the test specimen and a value of the target variable is determined in this way. The result of the acquisition of the target variable resulting from the output test is divided into test segments and each test segment is checked for target-variable-critical relevance by means of a predetermined target variable relevance criterion. A driving maneuver assigned to the test segment or an assigned driving maneuver segment is recorded in the test if the target-variable-critical relevance of the test segment is given.

Method for performing a test with a test specimen on a test bench

In a method for the analysis and evaluation of measured values of an open test system, a test piece is monitored during a test run by at least one signal channel which sends a signal to an evaluation unit for further processing whereby at least one plausibility node is coupled with at least one signal channel. In order to allow a statement to be made about the value of plausibility nodes and their results in relation to a specific measuring task, an evaluated plausibility is ascertained for at least one of the measured values from the type and number of plausibility nodes as well as their possible, variable interconnection. In order to permit, in addition, statements on the reliability of the results of the test system in relation to the desired measured values, it is provided that from the type and number of available plausibility nodes in combination with the type and number of available signal channels, a value is ascertained for the confidence level of the plausibility of at least one of the measured values of the current test system.

Method for the analysis and evaluation of measured values of an open test system

The invention relates to a four-stroke internal combustion engine with spark ignition and direct injection of the fuel into the combustion chamber, with a reciprocating piston for each cylinder and a roof-shaped top of the combustion chamber with at least one exhaust valve and at least two intake valves, as well as intake ports generating a tumble flow in the combustion chamber, as well as a fuel injection device opening into the combustion chamber, and an ignition source located in the area of the cylinder axis in the roof of the combustion chamber. In order to obtain good internal flow conditions the surface of the piston facing the combustion chamber is provided with a substantially Y-shaped configuration of flow guiding ribs, of which an arc-shaped rib is positioned approximately in the center of the piston and encloses a trough-shaped recess, and a longitudinal rib is provided on the side of the arc-shaped rib opposite of the recess, and the ignition source is positioned above the recess, and the fuel injection device is positioned in the area of the cylinder wall between the intake valves.
