An optical system for eye surgery, comprising at least a surgical microscope, an illumination unit for emitting illumination light, and a control unit. The surgical microscope is configured to output an observation mode signal indicating the employed observation mode and a mode-of-operation signal indicating the employed mode of operation, and the control unit is configured to receive the observation mode signal and the mode-of-operation signal from the surgical microscope and to output a change signal which prompts a change in the amount of light received by the at least one digital image sensor. The change signal is output only if the received observation mode signal and the received mode-of-operation signal indicate a predetermined combination of observation mode and mode of operation.

A contactless visualization system for a microscope for eye surgery includes an ophthalmic loupe positionable in front of a patient's eye and supplies a real and vertically and laterally inverted image of the fundus in an intermediate image plane observable with the microscope. The loupe includes first and second lens elements. When positioned in front of the eye, the first lens element is closer to the eye than the second. A wall extending from the first to the second lens element has a free end in a form of a mount which holds the second lens element. The wall has a passage opening formed therein for removing liquid possibly present in an intermediate space between the first lens element and the second lens element. The first lens element has a boundary surface facing the second lens element. The passage opening includes a lower edge bordering on the boundary surface of the first lens element.

Contactless visualization system for a surgical microscope for eye surgery

A contactless visualization system is for a surgical microscope for eye surgery. The system includes an ophthalmic loupe positionable in front of a patient's eye and for supplying a real and vertically and laterally inverted image of an eye fundus of the patient's eye in an intermediate image plane observable by the surgical microscope. The ophthalmic loupe includes a first and a second lens element. In a state positioned in front of the patient's eye, the first lens element is closer to the patient's eye than the second lens element. A wall extends from the first to the second lens element. The wall has a free end in a form of a mount in which the second lens element is held. The mount includes at least one cutout in which an edge of the second lens element is exposed in order to give a surgeon operating space.

A laser-surgical apparatus includes a laser emitting laser light with a narrowband wavelength distribution, a digital image sensor or a plurality of digital image sensors that separately record(s) different color channels that represent mutually different spectral wavelength distributions with in each case one maximum corresponding to a specific spectral color and produce(s) separate pieces of image information for the individual color channels, and a graphics module for combining the separate pieces of image information into one color image. A surgical microscope for generating an image of an object region includes an eyepiece and an objective conjointly defining a viewing beam path, an image capturing device and a beam path switching device for out-coupling image information. The switching device is switchable between a first switching state wherein light in the viewing beam path is split into a first component along a first beam path to the eyepiece at an intensity ITand a second component along a second beam path to the image capturing device at an intensity ITand a second switching state wherein the light in the viewing beam path is deflected into the second beam path to the image capturing device at an intensity IU.
