The present disclosure relates to a support device, in particular for a vehicle flap, comprising a housing () which can be connected between the vehicle flap and the vehicle body and which comprises at least one first housing part () and a second housing part () said the first housing part () and second housing part () are movable relative to each other in a telescopically guided manner. The support device also includes a spindle drive () which is coupled to the housing (). The spindle drive () comprises a spindle rod () and a spindle nut () which is in thread engagement with the spindle rod (), and one of the aforementioned components, i.e. the spindle rod () and the spindle nut (), is rotatably arranged in the housing () about a spindle axis (S) and the respective other component is rotationally fixed in the housing (). The support device also includes a first brake device () which is coupled to one of the aforementioned components in order to brake the rotation of the said component. The first brake device () can be activated by being rotated relative to the housing () about a central rotational axis via centrifugal forces.

A drive device, in particular for an adjustable vehicle flap, comprising includes a housing extending axially along a drive axle, a motor for generating a driving force in the direction of the drive axle, a first drive element, and a coupling device arranged between the motor and the first drive element. The coupling device comprises a coupling housing and at least one first coupling part with a coupling section for coupling to the first drive element. The first drive element is coupled to the coupling device via the coupling section of the first coupling part, and a braking device for braking a drive movement of the first drive element. A drive device, in particular for an adjustable vehicle flap, which has a lower residual installation length and can thus be used more flexibly in various installation space situations is created by the braking device being arranged axially in the coupling section of the first coupling part.

According to the invention, a control drive is provided, which is designed such that it is compact and can be economically produced, in such a way that the first tolerance element () is rotationally fixed to one of the first coupling element () and the adapter sleeve ().

Actuating drive comprising a torque-limiting device

A drive device for a pivotable vehicle flap includes a flap part associated with the vehicle flap, a body part associated with a vehicle body and a hinge arrangement which hingedly connects the flap part and the body part. The hinge arrangement allows the flap part to be pivoted about a first axis of rotation for opening and closing the vehicle flap and about a second axis of rotation for raising the vehicle flap into a pedestrian protection position. The brake housing () has a connecting section () for connecting the first brake housing part () and the second brake housing part (), and in that the first brake housing part () and the second brake housing part () are welded to one another in the connecting section ().

Braking device for a drive device

A spring part, in particular for a driving device, includes a spring body extending around a central axis. The spring body comprises several spring windings which run radially around a spring axis and are made of at least a base material. The base material is surrounded at least by a first protective layer, and the spring body is at least partially covered on the outside by a lubricant. A method for manufacturing a spring part includes the steps of providing a spring body with several spring windings made of a base material and coating the base material at least with a first protective layer. The method includes the step of applying a lubricant formed as a silicone-based lubricant to the outside of the coated spring body.
