An intervertebral implant having two mutually opposite main faces and a side face, wherein at least one of the faces has mutually parallel shaped teeth. The general shape of the profile of the toothed face in at least one plane extending transversely to the face, is curved. Additionally, at least one spike projects from one of the main faces.

The invention concerns an implant comprising a body with an upper surface and a lower surface capable of pressing on the vertebral end-plate located immediately above and beneath and having further at least a through aperture emerging on the upper and lower surfaces. The invention is characterized in that the implant further comprises an anchoring member mounted in such a way as to be capable of moving in the aperture. The said anchoring member includes a support part adjacent to a first vertebral end-plate, and at least a projecting anchoring element extending from the support part towards the opposite vertebral end-plate. Thus, when the implant is compressed between the vertebral end-plates, the anchoring member is stressed by the first vertebral end-plate at the support part to move relative to the body and the at least providing projecting element overlaps the body surface facing the opposite vertebral end-plate and is anchored therein. The invention is particularly applicable to bone fusion between cervical vertebrae.

A device for backbone osteosynthesis having a bone anchoring element, a linking rod for linking the anchoring element with other anchoring elements, an intermediate element, a swivel linkage between the intermediate element first part and the bone anchoring element, a clamping linkage between the intermediate element second part and the intervertebral linking rod, and a locking mechanism for the swivel and the clamping linkages. The clamping linkage includes a clip with two branches laterally adjusted from the swivel and open opposite same. The locking mechanism acts on the branches in the region of their free ends so as to stress the latter towards each other.

An osteosynthesis device, in particular for the spine. The device has an outer spherical surface and a substantially cylindrical inner surface, designed to receive a rod of the device. A ring has two matching parts (,) each being U-shaped and having a bottom and a pair of branches taking up a fraction of the axial dimension of the bottom. The distance between the branches is about the same as that of the rod diameter, their respective bottoms facing each other enclosing the rod, and their pairs of branches adjacent. A system for osteosynthesis of the spine. The system includes at least two pedicular screws and a linking plate for linking the screws together in an essentially rigid manner. Each screw has a bone anchoring threaded part, a non-circular section head, and a threaded end shank adapted to cooperate with a nut. The plate has at least one opening adapted to have the threaded end shank of a screw passed through it and be trapped between the screw head and the nut. A locking member is also provided for preventing relative angular movement between the heads of the screws and the linking plate. The locking member is adapted to be inserted between the plate and the screw head and includes a bore through which the threaded end shank of the screw passes, and further includes a first locking cooperation of shapes with the screw head and a second cooperation of shapes with the plate.
