A cylinder head with liquid cooling, and which has an intake port which opens into a combustion chamber, an exhaust port per cylinder, a fuel injection device which opens into the combustion chamber and which adjoins the intake port and the exhaust port, and at least one cooling chamber which is arranged in the cylinder head. A cooling distribution duct, which is drilled or pre-cast, is arranged in a region of the fire deck, and extends substantially parallel to the fire deck and opens into an annular chamber surrounding the fuel injection device. The annular chamber has at least one substantially radial first cooling bore which is directed towards a valve web region formed between the intake port and the exhaust port and which adjoins the fire deck.

Cylinder head with liquid-type cooling

An internal combustion engine includes a level plate that is arranged between a cylinder head and a cylinder, is adjacent to a combustion chamber and is provided with at least one opening for at least one inlet valve and/or one outlet valve and/or at least one injection equipment or the like, the plate bordering on a level cylinder head bottom. In order to reduce the introduction of heat into the cylinder head in the easiest possible way, the diameter of the opening is larger than the valve seat for the inlet valve and/or for the outlet valve and the valve seat for the inlet valve and/or for the outlet valve is formed by the cylinder head or by a valve seat ring that is solidly connected thereto.

Internal combustion engine

The invention relates to a multicylinder internal combustion engine with an engine braking system including intake and exhaust valves and at least one additional brake valve for each cylinder, the exhaust valves opening into an exhaust system. Further a preferably tubular pressure reservoir with a pressure regulating valve is provided, into which braking channels departing from the brake valves are leading, so that a gas exchange between the individual cylinders is possible upon actuation of the brake valves.
