A refiner for refining of lignocellulosic material includes a rotor disc and a stator disc. The rotor disc includes a first refining segment that includes a plurality of first protruding structures for grinding of the lignocellulosic material. Each of the first protruding structures is defined by a first height. The stator disc is arranged opposite the rotor disc and includes a second refining segment that includes a plurality of second protruding structures for grinding of the lignocellulosic material. Each of the second protruding structures being defined by a second height. The first height is at least three times larger than the second height.

The invention relates to a center ring arrangeable on a refining disc of a defibrator for refining of fibrous material, wherein said center ring comprises a circumferential outer surface, a circumferential inner surface and a centrally located through-hole adapted to receive fibrous material fed from a feeding device, wherein said outer surface is provided with a circumferentially running groove opening up on the outer surface and being adapted to collect steam produced during operation of said defibrator, and wherein the center ring further comprises a plurality of wings provided on said inner surface and a number of channels extending from said groove to the positions on said inner surface where said wings are provided.

The disclosure relates to a method for producing of refiner disc segments. The method for producing of the invention allows for forming a multitude of refiner segments with only one forming process of a first die which may be lightweight and has reduced cost while at the same time a surface structure with high hardness which reduces wear of the die's surface. The method for producing a disc-type refiner segment for refining lignocellulosic material includes 3D printing a first model; forming a first die part using investment casting; 3D printing a second model; combining the first die part and the second model to create a first die model; using the first die model to generate for forming a sand model by compressing molding sand between the first die and the second die; and casting a refiner disc segment by casting a metal material using the sand model.

Method for producing a refiner disc segment

A blade element () for a refiner for refining fibrous material comprises a refining surface () provided with blade bars () and blade grooves () there-between. The blade bars () have side walls ('&#x2033;) facing away from one another. The side walls (&#x2032;&#x2033;) of the at least one blade bar () comprise on both of its side walls (&#x2032;&#x2033;) steps (&#x2032;&#x2033;) which extend at least partly in the transversal direction relative to the side walls (&#x2032;&#x2033;) of the blade bar () and away from one another.

Blade element

A blade element () for a conical portion () of a stator () of a refiner (). The blade element () has a feed end (), a discharge end (), and a refining surface () which has a feed zone () at the feed end () of the blade element (). The feed zone () of the blade element () has at least one guide groove () extending from the feed end () toward the discharge end () for guiding a flow of material to be refined from the feed end () toward the discharge end (). The depth of the guide groove () is arranged to change in a direction transverse in relation to the extending direction of the guide groove ().

A refining surface () of a refiner for defibrating lignocellulose-containing material has a feed edge () and a discharge edge () and has a first blade groove () and a second blade groove (), with a blade bar () therebetween. A distance (D, D, D) of the bottom () of the first blade groove () and the second blade groove () from an upper surface () of the blade bar () is arranged, at least in a part, to change substantially continuously in a direction of travel (A) of the blade grooves. The distance of the bottom of the second blade groove from the upper surface of the blade bar deviates from the distance of the bottom of the first blade groove from the upper surface of the blade bar at substantially the same distance (SD) from the feed edge of the refining surface.

Refining surface for a refiner

A refiner () comprising a stator () and a rotor (). The stator () and the rotor () comprise a flat portion () and a conical portion (). The conical portion has a first end () of smaller diameter (D) and a second end () of greater diameter (D) such that the first end is directed towards the flat portion and the second end is directed away from the flat portion. The refining surface () of the conical portion of the stator comprises at least an outer zone () arranged at the second end of the conical portion and an inner zone () arranged relative to the outer zone on the side of the first end of the conical portion. A portion of the length of the blade bars () in the outer zone are arranged relative to the rotation direction (RD) of the rotor such that they have a retentive effect on the material to be refined. Also a blade segment () for a conical portion of a stator of a refiner.

Refiner

A refining segment intended for refiners of disc-type for working fibrous material. A first portion has a first pattern of coarse bars and a second portion has a second pattern of fine bars. The second portion is positioned outside the first portion. The second pattern has a higher density of bars than the first pattern. The refining segment has a deflector arrangement protruding from a bar surface of the coarse bar. The bar surface faces the rotational direction. The deflector arrangement has a deflector surface directing a flow of fibrous material away from the bar surface. A refining apparatus has two opposing rotatable refining discs, separated by a refiner gap. At least one of the two refining discs has the above described patterns and deflector arrangements.
