The present invention relates to a voice browser and a method at a voice browser, the voice browser being arranged at a server connected to the Internet and responsive to Dual Tone MultiFrequency (DTMF) tones received from a telecommunications network The voice browser is responsive to different sets of predetermined DTMF tones, one set dedicated for voice browser functions and another set dedicated for HTML application functions. The voice browser synchronises the possible DTMF tones that can be accepted for a certain browsed part of an HTML page.

Voice browser and a method at a voice browser

A method and an arrangement of functional entities in a mobile telecommunications system for supporting to a mobile subscriber a second set of operator specific services (OSS&plus;), having a high level of functionality, additional to services standardized in the system. A first set of operator specific services (OSS), with a lower level of functionality, is supposed to already be provided for in the system. The second set of services (OSS&plus;) is provided for by a telecommunications standard different from the standard which provides the first set of services (OSS) and is preferably a structured standard for mobile telecommunication. The second set of services (OSS&plus;) is triggered by an intelligent network capability indicator, that is included in a subscription information field stored for each subscriber in a subscriber database.

Method and arrangement in a mobile communications system

A control point administers an Advice of Charge (AoC) service provided to mobile subscribers. The control point is informed of each can involving a mobile station that subscribes to the Advice of Charge service. The control point determines one or more AoC parameters for the call and sends them to a switching node currently serving the mobile station. The mobile station receives the AoC parameters from the serving switching node and determines a prospective cost associated with the call and displays that cost to the mobile subscriber. Accumulated costs for that call may also be determined and displayed during the call.

Method and apparatus for providing advice of charge parameters for mobile radio telephone calls

A mobile communications system provides mobile communication services from different supplementary service providers to mobile subscribers. A first database stores first subscriber information pertaining to the mobile subscribers. A first service provider provides a first supplementary service to one of the mobile subscribers using the first subscriber information stored in the first database for the mobile subscriber. A second database stores second subscriber information pertaining to subscribers. A second service provider provides a second supplementary service to the mobile subscriber using the second subscriber information stored in the second database for that mobile subscriber. The second service provider coordinates provision of the second supplementary service to the mobile subscriber using some of the first subscriber information obtained from the first database.

Method and apparatus for coordinating mobile communications network

Basic mobile telephony services are provided to mobile communication units operating within home and visiting mobile communication networks. The home and visiting mobile communication networks each include one or more mobile switching nodes that direct calls to and from mobile communication units. A home network database stores subscriber records for mobile communication units subscribing to basic telephony services from the home mobile communications network. The home network database also stores information relating to one or more network-specific services being offered in the home or the visiting network. At least some of the subscriber records in the home database include a flag indicating whether the mobile communications unit corresponding to that subscriber record is to receive the network-specific service. When a mobile unit registers or performs a location update procedure, the network-specific service information is transferred from that mobile's home network database to a node currently servicing that mobile communications unit if the flag is set in that mobile subscriber's database record. After receiving that network-specific service information for the mobile communications unit being served, the network-specific service is provided to the mobile communications unit when appropriate.

Method and apparatus for providing network-specific mobile services

A mobile communications system includes a plurality of location areas for providing mobile communications services to mobile subscribers. A first set of services is provided to subscribers in a first location area. A second set of services is provided to mobile subscribers in a second location area. When a mobile subscriber leaves the first location area and enters the second location area, the second set of services supported by the second location area is communicated to the mobile subscriber. In an example embodiment, the determination of the second set of services supported by the second location area and the communication of that second set of services to the mobile subscriber are performed as an intelligent network type service.

Providing notification of location dependent services to mobile stations

Reliable and comprehensive calling party identification services are provided to mobile subscribers. Calling party identification information, including for example public and private telephone numbers, is sent to a mobile database in a called party mobile network as part of an interrogation procedure for obtaining routing information for routing that call to the mobile subscriber in the PLMN. The mobile database then sends the calling party identification to a mobile switching center where the called mobile station is currently registered and being served as part of that interrogation procedure. The serving mobile switching center stores that calling party identification together with a roaming number allocated for the call. When the call is routed to the serving mobile switching center, the stored calling party identification is forwarded to the mobile unit along with call setup information and is ultimately presented to the mobile unit subscriber.
