There is provided mechanisms for OTA based estimation of phase accuracy of a first radio transceiver device. A method is performed by a controller. The method comprises obtaining, per each position in a sequence of positions of a second radio transceiver device relative the first radio transceiver device, a phase relation estimate between transceiver branches of the first radio transceiver device. Each phase relation estimate is obtained from measurements on a signal wirelessly transmitted between the first radio transceiver device and the second radio transceiver device. The method comprises estimating an average phase relation for at least one pair of the transceiver branches of the first radio transceiver device by averaging the obtained phase relation estimates over all the positions in the sequence of positions. The phase accuracy of the first radio transceiver device is represented by the average phase relation for the at least one pair of the transceiver branches.

Over-the-air based estimation of phase accuracy of a radio transceiver device

The present disclosure relates to a system () for measurement of antenna alignment of an array antenna system () used for wireless communication. The array antenna system () has an antenna position (A) relative a first coordinate system () and comprises a control unit () and an array antenna () having an antenna aperture plane (), a certain coverage () and an initial array antenna orientation (B). The array antenna () further comprises a plurality of antenna elements () and at least two antenna ports (), each antenna port () being connected to a corresponding subarray (), each subarray () comprising at least one antenna element (). The system () comprises the array antenna system () and an unmanned aerial vehicle (). UAV, arranged to be deployed in the coverage () and comprising a UAV antenna arrangement () and a positioning module () that is adapted to provide UAV position information (C) relative the first coordinate system (). In at least one UAV position (C), the UAV () is adapted to transmit a UAV signal to the array antenna () by means of the UAV antenna arrangement (), the UAV signal comprising the UAV position information (C). The control unit () is adapted to detect signals corresponding to the received UAV signal at the antenna ports (), and to determine a determined array antenna orientation (D) by means of determined phase differences between the detected signals, the antenna position (A), the initial array antenna orientation (B) and the UAV position information (C).

System and method for alignment measurement of an array antenna system

A wireless communication system comprising a first network node and a wireless device is provided. The system is adapted to establish communication between the first network node and the wireless device. The device is adapted to obtain information related to a geographic location of the device, to transmit the information related to the geographic location to the network node, and to transmit a Sounding Reference Signal to the node. The node is adapted to receive information related to a geographic location of the device, and to determine an antenna configuration of the network node for communicating with the device via a directive antenna, based on the geographic location of the device. A network node is adapted to communicate with the device by the first network node, via the directive antenna, by means of the determined antenna configuration.

Enhanced establishment of communication between nodes in a communication system

A method () of calibrating an antenna system () comprising a number of antenna elements is provided. The method () is performed in a control device () and comprises transmitting () a signal from a first reference antenna element selected among the antenna elements; measuring () the signal in two or more calibration antenna elements selected among the remaining antenna elements, and obtaining a first set of corresponding number of measurement values; repeating () the transmitting () and measuring () at least for a second reference antenna element different than the first reference antenna element, thereby obtaining a second set of corresponding number of measurement values, calculating () for each calibration antenna element j a correction value (A), based on the at least first and second sets of measurement values, thereby obtaining a correction matrix comprising for row i correction values for calibration antenna elements j relative antenna element k with antenna element i as the reference antenna element; performing () an optimization procedure using as input the correction matrix, wherein each column, except one, is multiplied with a respective constant C, thereby obtaining, for each row of the correction matrix, a respective optimized constant (B); and calculating () a correction value &#x394;tfor each antenna element based on the respective optimized constant (B). A control device, computer program and computer program products are also provided.

Method of calibrating an antenna system

A method of calibrating an antenna system comprising a number of antenna elements is provided. The method comprises transmitting and measuring at least for first and second reference antenna elements, thereby obtaining first and second sets of corresponding number of measurement values; calculating, for a first type of beamforming and for each calibration antenna element j a correction value&#x2014;&#x394;R, thereby obtaining a first part of a correction matrix; calculating, for a second type of beamforming and for each branch j a correction value &#x394;R, thereby obtaining a second part of the correction matrix; performing an optimization procedure using as input the correction matrix thereby obtaining, for each row of the correction matrix, a respective optimized constant, and calculating a compensation value &#x394;rfor each antenna element based on the respective optimized constant.

Method for calibrating an antenna system, control device, computer program and computer program products

The present invention relates to a method, node and system for efficient handling of sharing a set of data and in particular where the data set is shared in a volatile manner. Each node with access to the data set sharing group controls the access of data set from the node and each node stores data set received from other nodes in the group in a volatile manner providing removal of data set received from a node that has left the sharing group.
