Compounds of formula (One) wherein A , A , A , and A independently H, halogen, or methyl; E is &mdash;N&boxH; or &mdash;CH&boxH;; G is O&boxH; or S&boxH;; J is &mdash;O&mdash;, &mdash;NH&mdash; or &mdash;NT &mdash; wherein T is alkyl having 1 to 6 carbon atoms; L , L , and L are independently H, halogen, cyano, methyl, monohalomethyl, dihalomethyl, or trihalomethyl; M is &mdash;S&mdash;, &mdash;S&mdash;(&boxH;O), or &mdash;S(&boxH;O) &mdash;); and Q is aryl, substituted aryl, heteroaryl, or substituted heteroaryl. The present invention provides novel 2-methoxyimino-2-(pyridinyloxymethyl)phenyl acetamide compounds with (derivatised) hydroxyalkyl substituents on the pyridine ring, their use as fungicidal compounds, and their use in fungicidal compositions comprising at least one of the 2-methoxyimino-2-(pyridinyloxymethyl)phenyl acetamide compounds as the active ingredient.
