Polyoxazoline polymers, polymer combinations, and compositions comprising those polymers or combinations of polymers are disclosed. The invention further relates to the use of said polyoxazoline polymers, said combinations and compositions comprising such polymers and combinations for the sustained release of one or more active ingredients, in particular one or more active pharmaceutical ingredients. It further relates to the use of polyoxazoline polymers or polymer combinations as drug carrier.

Drug formulations comprising polyoxazolines as matrix excipient

The present invention relates to polyoxazoline polymers, polymer combinations and compositions comprising those polymers or combinations of polymers. The invention further relates to the use of said polyoxazoline polymers, said combinations and compositions comprising such polymers and combinations for the sustained release of one or more active ingredients, in particular one or more active pharmaceutical ingredients. It further relates to the use of polyoxazoline polymers or polymer combinations as drug carrier.

The present invention in general relates to a pharmaceutical dosage form comprising one or more granules, and a method for manufacturing thereof. The granules of the dosage form are prepared via the extrusion/spheronization technique using partially hydrolysed polyvinyl alcohol. These granules have the advantage that a high drug load can be contained therein.

Oral dosage form

The present invention relates to solid pharmaceutical dosage forms suitable for use as drinking water medication. More in particular, the present invention provides solid pharmaceutical dosage forms comprising a pharmaceutically active agent, a non-ionic surfactant having an Hydrophilic Lipophilic Balance (HLB) of at least 8, and a maltodextrin. The present invention also provides the use of such pharmaceutical dosage forms in veterinary medicine, more in particular as drinking water medication; as well as methods for preparing such pharmaceutical dosage forms.

Solid pharmaceutical dosage form suitable for use as drinking water medication

The present invention in general relates to a pharmaceutical suspension comprising nano-sized cocrystals of at least one active ingredient and at least one dicarboxylic acid. It in particular relates to a pharmaceutical suspension comprising nano-sized cocrystals of at least one anthelmintic drug and at least one dicarboxylic acid. The invention further relates to uses, methods for use and methods for manufacturing the pharmaceutical suspension according to this invention.

Pharmaceutical nanosuspension

An intra-articular pharmaceutical composition is used for the treatment and/or the prevention of acute or chronic osteoarticular diseases and acute or chronic osteoarticular symptoms especially osteoarthritis. The composition includes a possibly adequate pharmaceutical carrier or diluent, a glycosaminoglycan, a compound activating the alpha 2 adrenergic receptor, an anti-inflammatory agent and stem cells.

Pharmaceutical composition for use in the treatment and/or the prevention of osteoarticular diseases

The present invention in general relates to an intravaginal delivery system as well as uses thereof and methods for manufacturing and use of the same. In particular the present invention relates to an intravaginal delivery system for the controlled release of one or more organic acids, such as lactic acid; said intravaginal delivery system being characterized in that it comprises a combination of ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) copolymers and carboxylic polymers, such as for example methacrylic acid-methacrylic ester copolymers.

Intravaginal delivery system

A pharmaceutical or veterinary granule composition in the form of a mixture consisting essentially of: (i) at least one drug classifiable as Class II or Class IV of the Biopharmaceutical Classification System, wherein said drug (i) constitutes from above about 20% to 50% by weight of the composition, said pharmaceutical or veterinary granule composition providing a drug release of at least 70% within 10 minutes in water, (ii) a first excipient being a maltodextrin representing from 40% by weight to 85% by weight of said composition, (iii) a wetting amount of a second excipient being a polyethylene glycol having a weight number molecular weight between 300 and 5,000, said second excipient comprising a solid fraction and a liquid fraction, and representing from 15% to 40% by weight of said composition, and optionally one or more pharma-ceutically acceptable fillers selected from the group consisting of hydrocolloids, glidants, lubricants, surfactants and diluents, wherein the weight ratio of said first excipient (ii) to said second excipient (iii) is in a range from 1:1 to 5:1.

Immediate release pharmaceutical granule compositions and a continuous process for making them

A pharmaceutical or veterinary granule composition in the form of a mixture consisting essentially of: (i) at least one drug classifiable as Class II or Class IV of the Biopharmaceutical Classification System, wherein said drug (i) constitutes from 0.5% to 20% by weight of the composition, and excipients, said pharmaceutical or veterinary granule composition providing a drug release of at least 70% within 10 minutes in water, (ii) a first excipient being a maltodextrin representing from 40% by weight to 80% by weight of said composition, (iii) a wetting amount of a second excipient being a polyethylene glycol having a weight number molecular weight between 300 and 5,000, said second excipient comprising a solid fraction and a liquid fraction, and representing from 15% to 40% by weight of said composition, and optionally one or more pharmaceutically acceptable fillers selected from the group consisting of hydrocolloids, glidants, lubricants, surfactants and diluents, wherein the weight ratio of said first excipient (ii) to said second excipient (iii) is in a range from 1:1 to 5:1.

This patent pertains to the use of debranched starch in the preparation of pharmaceutical pellets by extrusion spheronization. Such excipients are useful in any dry dosage form, including tablets and capsules, for either immediate or sustained release.

The apparatus is useful for continuously wet granulating biologically-active ingredient formulations, chemicals, detergents and foodstuffs.

An apparatus for wet granulating a powder material comprises: &#x2014;a barrel having a granulation chamber and being provided with a first inlet () for receiving said powder material and for supplying it to said granulation chamber and with a second inlet () for receiving a granulating liquid and for supplying it to said granulation chamber, said granulation having an aperture () for discharge of granules from said barrel, and &#x2014;a transporting means (S) for advancing said powder material toward the end of said granulation chamber while granulating it with the aid of said granulating liquid, said transporting means (S) comprising a first transport zone () at its rear end, an agglomeration zone () downstream from the first transport zone () and a second transport zone () at its front end, said first inlet () and said second inlet () being positioned above the first transport zone (), wherein said aperture () has a shape tightly fitting the terminal portion of the transporting means (S) for directly discharging said granules from the granulation chamber.
