Systems and methods for three-dimensional computer modeling of buildings are disclosed, including a method comprising generating, with a computer processor, a 3D model of walls of a structure and a wall area measurement estimate report, using the 3D model of the walls, displaying multiple line drawings of a building having a roof.

Systems and methods for estimation of building wall area and producing a wall estimation report

Systems and methods are disclosed for determining a pitch of a roof of a structure by analyzing one or more images showing the roof, at least one of the one or more image showing the roof obtained with a camera of a user device and an image not obtained by the user device. The system uses the one or more images including an image obtained by the user device to generate a report for determination of an amount of materials needed for a construction project, the report including at least one image showing the structure and an estimated area of the construction project.

Image analysis system

A system generates an estimated floor area measurement of a building based on the calculated estimated total roof area of the roof of the building. This is based on a correlation between the size of the building roof and the size of the building. Typically, the floor area of a single full floor of the building is roughly the size of the roof of the building if the roof were flat with no slope. This in effect is turning the roof into a floor to generate estimated floor area. With additional adjustments to area measurements to account for multiple floors, roof overhang, wall width, internal building features such as walls and staircases, and/or obstructed views of the building in the aerial image(s), etc., an even more accurate floor area estimation may be generated.

Methods and systems are disclosed including a system comprising an integrated centralized property database including a plurality of data items associated with geographic location identifier(s) indicating a particular geographic point on earth, and associated with time identifier(s) including time(s) or time period(s), indicative of a time history of an associated data item regarding the associated geographic point on earth; a computer processor, communicatively coupled with the integrated centralized property database, configured to: receive, from a user computer system, a query of a geographic location and time information indicative of the time history of an associated data item regarding the associated geographic point on earth; retrieve, from the integrated centralized property database, data items having associated geographic location identifiers matching the received geographic location and having associated time identifiers matching the received time information; and provide the retrieved data items to the user computer system via a graphical user interface.

Geometric correction of rough wireframe models derived from photographs may include rectification of either a 2D or 3D original wireframe model of a roof structure, derivation of metadata from the original wireframe, in-plane normalization of the wireframe, extrusion into a 'rough' 3D wireframe based on the normalized wireframe, and correction of the 'rough' 3D wireframe. The correction and normalization may be an iterative process based on initial pitch values, metadata derived from the original or corrected wireframe models and defined constraints regarding relationships between roof portions or segments. The iterative process may repeat adjusting the wireframe model until the adjusting converges to a stable state according to the various defined constraints.

The described user interface provides user interface controls that may be manipulated by an operator to perform at least some of the functions of roof model generation. Pitch determination systems and methods for aerial roof estimation

Methods and systems for roof estimation are described. Example embodiments include a roof estimation system, which generates and provides roof estimate reports annotated with indications of the size, geometry, pitch and/or orientation of the roof sections of a building. Generating a roof estimate report may be based on one or more aerial images of a building. In some embodiments, generating a roof estimate report of a specified building roof may include generating a three-dimensional model of the roof, and generating a report that includes one or more views of the three-dimensional model, the views annotated with indications of the dimensions, area, and/or slope of sections of the roof. Aerial roof estimation systems and methods

A method is provided that includes storing a plurality of data items in a data aggregation system. Each of the plurality of data items is associated with one or more location identifiers indicating a particular point on the earth. The method further includes receiving, by at least one processor, a query indicating a geographic location. Data items having associated location identifiers matching the received geographic location are retrieved from the data aggregation system. The method further includes outputting the retrieved data items.

A wall area estimation system generates an estimated wall area measurement report of a building. Included in the wall area measurement estimate report are multiple line drawings of a building having a roof. Two of the multiple line drawings are perspective views from an angle of view above the building. A first of the perspective views is substantially centered on a first substantially vertical exterior corner of the house that is approximately opposite of a second substantially vertical exterior corner of the house on which a second of the perspective views is substantially centered. The first and second of the perspective views include a line drawing of the roof that is transparent or translucent to show interior surfaces of the walls of the building in the first and second of the perspective views. The walls of the interior surfaces shown are shaded darker than the walls of the exterior.

A system that allows the remote measurement of the size, geometry, pitch and orientation of the roof sections of a building and then uses the information to provide an estimate to repair or replace the roof, or to install equipment thereon. The system includes an aerial image file database that shows aerial images of buildings in a designated area according to address. The slope and orientation images are typically oblique perspective views and top plan views of the buildings in the area. The system also includes an image analysis and calibration feature that enables the viewer to closely estimate the size, geometry and orientation of the building's roof sections. The information can then be used to prepare a cost estimate for the repair or replacement of the roof or installation of roof equipment. By simply inputting the potential customer's address, the company is able to determine the size, geometry, pitch and orientation of the roof sections of the building at that address, and then quickly provide an accurate estimate to the customer.
