A spout assembly for a flexible bag having a base flange, a body and a dual lead thread. The base flange has a top surface and a bottom surface. At least one of the top surface and the bottom surface are configured for coupling to a flexible bag. The body extends from the base flange and includes a proximal end corresponding to the base flange and a distal end spaced apart therefrom, and, an inner surface and an outer surface. The dual lead thread extends along the outer surface of the body between the proximal end and the distal end. The dual lead thread has a first threadform and a second threadform. The first threadform has a first threadform length. The second threadform has a second threadform length. The length of the first threadform is different than that of the second threadform.

A liquid dispensing tap having a body and a closure assembly. The closure assembly having a stirrup, a closure member and a spring assembly attached to each of the stirrup and the closure member. The spring assembly having a first spring and a second spring on opposing sides of the closure member, the springs having a first end and a second end and a curved region therebetween, the first ends of the spring members being oblique to the closure axis of the closure member and the second ends of the spring members being oblique to the stirrup plane of the stirrup plane.

A barrier spout having a base flange and an upstand portion. The base flange has a top surface, a bottom surface and an outer surface. The upstand portion has a proximal end extending from the base flange terminating at a distal end. An upper opening is defined at the distal end, and a lower opening is defined at the proximal end. The base flange and the upstand portion each comprise a three layer co-molded configuration including an outer layer, an inner layer and a central layer. The central layer has an oxygen transmission rate that is less than an oxygen transmission rate of either of the outer layer and the inner layer.

A flexible package having dispensing bag and a hose spout integrally coupled therewith. The dispensing bag is positioned within an outer vessel or urn having a valve dispensing member. The hose spout is extended through the valve dispensing member. The filled container can be emptied through the hose spout, which dispensing fluid flow can be controlled by the valve dispensing member. The hose spout comprises a molded member that includes a base flange that extends through a transition region to an elongated spout, with a dispensing opening at a distal end of the elongated spout.
