A split power gerotor pump includes a rotational axis, a shaft, an inner gerotor, an eccentric pocket, and an outer gerotor. The inner gerotor is rotationally fixed on the shaft, rotatable about the rotational axis, and includes n first lobes. The eccentric pocket is rotatable about the rotational axis, and includes a cylindrical bore with a center radially offset from the rotational axis and an outer surface, disposed radially outside of the cylindrical bore and arranged for direct engagement with a gear or a rotor for an electric motor. The outer gerotor includes a cylindrical outer surface installed in the cylindrical bore and n+1 second lobes.

An electro-mechanical park lock actuator includes a shaft and a circuit board. The shaft is arranged for connecting to a transmission park pawl. The circuit board includes a first non-contact inductive position sensor integrated circuit, a first trace electrically connected to the first non-contact inductive position sensor integrated circuit for determining an angular position of the shaft, and an electrical connector for connecting the circuit board to an external master controller. In some example embodiments, the electro-mechanical park lock actuator includes an electric motor drivingly connected to the shaft, and a transmission arranged in a torque path between the electric motor and the shaft.

A phasing mechanism for an internal combustion is provided. The phasing mechanism includes a stator, a rotor configured to rotate relative to the stator, a first plurality of rolling elements configured to engage and move the rotor in a first rotational direction, a second plurality of rolling elements configured to engage and move the rotor in a second rotational direction, and a piston configured to be hydraulically actuated in: i) a first axial direction to move the rotor in the first rotational direction, and ii) a second axial direction to move the rotor in the second rotational direction.

Phasing mechanism with roller ramps

A vehicle seat rotates in response to activation of an electric motor. The electric motor is part of a non-back-drivable mechanism such that it acts to lock the seat in position. The seat mechanism is assembled from stamped components for efficient manufacturing. A bracket includes integrally formed gear teeth which mesh with gear teeth driven by the electric motor. The bracket is held between two stamped parts using four-point angular contact ball bearings. The races of the ball bearings are stamped into the respective stamped parts.

A hydraulic ride height actuator system for providing variation of a ride height at a front end of a vehicle is provided includes a strut and an actuator including a piston and a housing axially movable with respect to the piston. The housing is fastened to an upper end of the strut. The piston and the housing define a hydraulic chamber. An increase in a volume of the hydraulic chamber forces the housing upward to vary the ride height.

A torque transmitting assembly, including: a shaft including a longitudinal axis, first and second longitudinal ends, a radially outermost surface, a first portion including at least one indentation, and second and third portions between the first portion and the first and second longitudinal ends, respectively; and a sprocket assembly disposed about the shaft and including a sprocket with a circumferentially disposed and radially outwardly extending teeth and at least one key engaged with the sprocket. The sprocket assembly is displaceable along the shaft to displace the at least one key into the at least one indentation. The sprocket is non-rotatably connected the shaft when the at least one key is disposed in the at least one indentation. At least respective portions of the radially outermost surface are at a uniform distance from the longitudinal axis in a radial direction orthogonal to the longitudinal axis and extending from the longitudinal axis.

Torque transmitting assembly including a sprocket assembly displaceable along a shaft and method thereof

A launch device for a vehicle transmission includes a housing, an impeller, a turbine; and first and second clutches. The first and second clutches include first and second pistons, respectively. The first and second pistons are sealingly engaged with one another. The first clutch releaseably engages the impeller with the housing and the second clutch releaseably engages the turbine with the first piston. In an example embodiment, the first clutch is disposed radially outside of the second clutch and at least a portion of the first piston is disposed axially between the housing and the second piston. In an example embodiment, the first clutch is engaged by a first pressure, and the second clutch is engaged by a second pressure greater than the first pressure.

A clutch carrier assembly for a transmission includes a clutch carrier, an outer race, a bearing, an inner race, and a one-way clutch. The clutch carrier is arranged for driving engagement with a plurality of clutch plates. The outer race is fixedly connected to the carrier and has an inner circumferential surface. The bearing has an outer circumferential surface aligned with the inner circumferential surface. The inner race is arranged for driving engagement with a transmission shaft. The one-way clutch is disposed radially between the outer race and the inner race.

A one-way clutch carrier assembly for a transmission includes an outer ring and a carrier. The outer ring has an outer surface with radially extending teeth. The carrier circumscribes the outer ring. The carrier has an undulating outer surface with teeth for receiving a plurality of clutch plates, an undulating inner surface with teeth for receiving the outer ring teeth, and an inwardly extending tab for limiting axial displacement of the outer ring in the carrier. In an example embodiment, the outer ring includes a first circumferential surface with a first radius and a second circumferential surface with a second radius, larger than the first radius. The carrier inwardly extending tab has a third radius that is smaller than the second radius.

One-way clutch carrier assembly

A friction plate for a clutch is provided. The friction plate includes a first core plate including at least one first radial extension, a second core plate including at least one second radial extension and friction material held axially between the at least one first radial extension and the at least one second radial extension. The at least one first radial extension and the at least one second radial extension are imbedded axially into opposite sides of the friction material and joined together. A method of forming a friction plate for a clutch is also provided.

A clutch assembly, including: a hub including a first radially disposed portion with a plurality of circumferentially aligned slots passing though the first radially disposed portion; and a ring gear carrier including a plurality of protrusions disposed in the plurality of circumferentially aligned slots and in compressive engagement with the hub to fixedly connect the hub to the carrier. Each slot in the plurality of circumferentially aligned slots extends further in a circumferential direction than in a radial direction. Each protrusion in the plurality of protrusions extends further in the circumferential direction than in the radial direction.

A friction plate, including: a ring-shaped piece of friction material with an inner circumference, and first and second surfaces facing in first and second opposite axial directions, respectively; a first core plate with a first ring-shaped body, a first plurality of protrusions extending radially outward from the first ring-shaped body and imbedded in the first surface, and a second plurality of protrusions extending radially inward from the first ring-shaped body; and a second core plate with a second ring-shaped body, a third plurality of protrusions extending radially outward from the second ring-shaped body and embedded in the second surface, and a fourth plurality of protrusions extending radially inward from the second ring-shaped body. The first and second bodies are at least partially disposed radially inward of the inner circumference. The second and fourth pluralities of protrusions are for engagement with a rotatable element.
