The present invention provides a method, apparatus and system for providing reproducible digital imagery products from captured image content and for the color correction of the reproducible digital imagery products. In one embodiment, the present invention provides a log video signal comprising at least density values for the contrast levels of the original image content for enabling a quantitative assessment of the image content information for providing repeatable and reproducible values from which a cinematographer/director of photography could order the color correction or adjustment of the image content in a reproducible manner understood device by a color correction specialist or 'timer'.

The present invention provides a method, apparatus and system for the transfer of motion picture film to reproducible digital imagery products such as digital dailies. In one embodiment of the present invention, a scanning device provides a log video signal representation of received film content, the log video signal including at least grey scale values of the colors of the received film content for enabling a quantitative assessment of the film content exposure information for providing repeatable and reproducible values from which a cinematographer/director of photography could order the color correction or adjustment of the film content in a reproducible manner understood by a color correction specialist or 'timer'.

Anti-piracy measures for stereoscopic 3D content media displayed in dual lens projection systems are achieved by the forensic marking of each image in a stereoscopic image pair with separate component forensic marks or dots associated with each image of an image pair. In one example, the component mark used for marking one image of the pair is identical to the component forensic mark used for marking the other image of the pair. In another example, the component marks are different from each other. When superimposed over each other in proper alignment, the two component marks form a composite forensic mark. In this latter example, they each lack one or more of the forensic dots or shapes existing in the composite mark, and the component marks may or may not have one or more corresponding forensic dots or shapes in common.

Method and system for forensic marking of stereoscopic 3D content media

A system and method for calibrating a production film scanner is provided. The system and method provides for providing at least one first calibration frame on an intermediate film stock providing at least one second calibration frame on a negative film stock, scanning the at least first and second calibration frames with a reference film scanner, scanning the at least first and second calibration frames with a production film scanner, and determining a compensation calibration factor from a first result of the scanning with the reference film scanner and a second result of the production film scanner.
