A seat assembly comprises a seat adjuster; and a seat including: a seat bottom connectable to a track assembly; a seatback pivotably connected to the seat bottom; a calf rest pivotably connected to the seat bottom; and a headrest pivotably connected to the seatback. The seat adjuster includes one or more motors and is connected to the seat to adjust the seat to a first seat position and to a second seat position via adjusting the seatback, the calf rest, and the headrest about a plurality of pivot axes.

Seat assembly

A seat assembly comprises a seat adjuster and a seat including: a seat bottom including: a first seat bottom portion; and a second seat bottom portion pivotably connected to the first seat bottom portion; and a seatback pivotably connected to the first seat bottom portion. The seatback is adjustable about a first pivot axis to a first seatback position and to a second seatback position via the seat adjuster. The seatback is disposed in the second seatback position and the second seat bottom portion is disposed in the raised position when the seat is in a second seat position. A hip point of a user is in substantially the same position relative to the first seat bottom portion when the seat is in the first seat position and when the seat is in the second seat position.

A seat assembly comprises a seat adjuster; and a seat including: a seat base connectable with a track assembly; a seat bottom pivotably connected to the seat base at a first pivot axis; a seatback pivotably connected to the seat base at the first pivot axis; and an adjustment member pivotably connected to the seat base at a second pivot axis and pivotably connected to the seat bottom at a member-bottom pivot axis. The seat adjuster is connected to the seat to adjust the seatback about the first pivot axis, the seat bottom about the first pivot axis, and the adjustment member about the second pivot axis to adjust the seat to a first seat position and to a second seat position.

A seat adjuster may include a support member and a fluid bladder. The support member may have a first end and a second end. The first end and the second end may be connectable to a seat frame such that the support member is disposed at least partially below a suspension portion of said seat frame. The fluid bladder may be disposed at least partially between the support member and said suspension portion. The fluid bladder may be configured to support said suspension portion. A change or adjustment of a volume of the fluid bladder may change or adjust the support provided to said suspension portion.

Seat adjuster

A connector assembly may include a body including a first aperture and a second aperture; a rotating member disposed at least partially in the first aperture; and/or a mating member having a portion disposed at least partially in the second aperture. The rotating member may be configured to rotate to limit movement of the mating member.

Connector assembly

A protective assembly for a vehicle seat includes a support member, a hinge portion, and a base. The base may be connected to the support member via the hinge portion. The support member may be configured to rotate about the hinge portion between a first position and a second position. The support member may be substantially parallel to the base when the support member is in the first position. The support member may be disposed at an oblique or right angle relative to the base when the support member is in the second position. The support member may be configured to rotate about the hinge portion. The hinge portion may be connected to a biasing member. The biasing member may be configured to bias the support member toward the second position. The base may be fixed to a seat back of said vehicle seat.

Protective assembly

A seating system for a vehicle includes a seat-back frame and a backboard attached to the seat-back frame. An attachment arrangement includes an elongated member attached to the seat-back frame and the backboard, and is configured to remain attached to the seat-back frame and the backboard by plastically deforming when the seat-back frame and the backboard are subjected to a separation force of a predetermined magnitude greater than a magnitude otherwise required to detach the elongated member from the backboard.

Vehicle seating system

A seat assembly includes a seat back that is mounted on a base for relative movement between a first seat position and a second seat position. An armrest is mounted on the seat back for relative movement between a stowed position and a use position. An armrest restrictor prevents movement of the armrest relative to the seat back when the seat back is moved from the first seat position toward the second seat position and allows movement of the armrest relative to the seat back when the seat back is in the first seat position.

A seating system for a vehicle has a positioning insert configured for attachment at a predetermined location to a portion of a seat cushion arrangement forming a part of the seating system such that the positioning insert facilitates positioning a seated occupant at a desired fore-aft position. The positioning insert may include a first side having a generally arcuate portion configured to be oriented toward a seated occupant and to receive a seated occupant's buttocks to facilitate positioning of the seated occupant at the desired fore-aft position.

Vehicle seating system and method for manufacturing

A seat assembly having a seat back and a fold assist mechanism. The fold assist mechanism may have a drive plate and a spring. The spring may bias the seat back from a first position toward the second position when the spring engages a drive plate flange.
