A headrest assembly includes a lattice matrix having a plurality of three-dimensional (3D) cells. Each 3D cell of includes a node and a plurality of links outwardly extending from the node. The lattice matrix includes a plurality of sections including a first section having a first overall elastic modulus, a second section positioned adjacent to the first section and having a second overall elastic modulus that is higher than the first overall elastic modulus of the first section, and a third section positioned adjacent to the second section and having a third overall elastic modulus that is higher than the second overall elastic modulus of the second section. The lattice matrix is integrally constructed using an additive manufacturing technique, wherein the 3D cells of each section are provided in various patterns and cured to varying degrees to provide the varying overall elastic moduli of each section of the lattice matrix.

A device holder assembly that includes a body with a housing coupled to the body. A leg assembly is coupled to the housing. The leg assembly includes a first leg and a second leg that are movable between a recessed position and an extended position. A first finger is rotatably coupled to the first leg. A second finger is rotatably coupled to the second leg. The first leg and the second leg and both movable between a deployed position and a retracted position. A third finger is disposed between the first finger and the second finger. The third finger is rotatably coupled to a center portion of the housing. The third finger is rotatable between a deployed position and a retracted position.

Personal device holder

A headrest assembly includes a pivot pin rotatably coupled to a support structure. A pivot member extends outward from a headrest body and is coupled to the pivot pin. A lock assembly is disposed about the pivot pin and is operable between a disengaged condition and an engaged condition. In the engaged condition, rotation of the pivot pin relative to the support structure is generally prevented. A pulley wheel is operable to rotate about the pivot pin from a first position to a second position to prompt the lock assembly to enter the disengaged condition.

Headrest assembly for a pivoting headrest

A seating assembly for a vehicle comprises: a seatback; an airbag having a stowed position and an inflated position, the airbag being configured to inflate from the stowed position to the inflated position in response to the vehicle impacting an object; a head restraint coupled to the seatback, the head restraint including a forward position, a rearward position, and a locking mechanism preventing the head restraint from moving from the forward position to the rearward position after taking the forward position; and as the airbag inflates from the stowed position to the inflated position, the airbag forces the head restraint from the rearward position to the forward position. As the airbag inflates from the stowed position to the inflated position and forces the head restraint to the forward position, the airbag does not contact the one or more support bars and does not force the seatback to change position.

A head restraint assembly includes a headrest bun including an interior portion and a rear outer surface. A frame member is disposed within the interior portion of the headrest bun. A support block is disposed adjacent to the frame member and includes first and second access slots disposed through a body portion thereof. A bracket includes a body portion operably coupled between the support block and the frame member. The bracket includes first and second fins rearwardly extending from the body portion of the bracket through the first and second access slots of the support block and through the rear outer surface of the headrest bun. The distal ends of the first and second fins are spaced-apart from one another and positioned outside of the interior portion of the headrest bun in assembly, and are configured to contact a glass pane of a vehicle during a deceleration event.

Head restraint assembly

A seating assembly comprises: a head restraint that can be both separated from a seatback to a separated position, and remotely actuated via a user-accessible manipulable device located away from the head restraint to move the head restraint to a folded position when coupled to the seatback in an extending position. A cable of the seatback is not operably coupled with the head restraint when the user-accessible manipulable device is not manipulated but becomes operably coupled with the head restraint, when the user-accessible manipulable device is manipulated and the head restraint is in the extending position, to cause the head restraint to move from an upright position to the folded position. The cable of the seatback extends into a post receiver and operably couples with the head restraint within the post receiver when the head restraint is in the extending position and the user-accessible manipulable device is manipulated.

A headrest support assembly is provided that comprises a support member flexible between neutral and loaded states and having first and second ends with a channel extending therebetween. A cable is slidably received in the channel between first and second positions. The cable has first and second ends, and the cable moves from the first position to the second position when the support member moves from the neutral state to the loaded state.

Headrest support assembly

A headrest includes a first assembly. The first assembly includes a first threaded shaft that is integrated with a first magnetized rotor of a first motor. Rotation of the first motor and the first threaded shaft results in vertical translation of a first threaded nut carrier such that a height of the headrest is adjusted.

Translatable headrest

A headrest assembly includes upright supports that are partially disposed within a rear housing and interconnected to one another by a vertically adjustable guide bracket. A mounting plate is operably coupled to the guide bracket by a driveshaft of a first motor for driving horizontal movement of the mounting plate. A headrest bun is pivotally coupled to the mounting plate for rotating movement between upright and angled positions. A second motor is mounted to at least one of the upright supports and includes a vertical driveshaft coupled to the guide bracket for driving vertical movement of the guide bracket. The headrest bun includes first and second side bolsters that are pivotally coupled to a central support member between extended and retracted positions. The headrest assembly may further include an air moving device to provide ventilation or a heating feature to a user of the headrest assembly.

A cup holder assembly includes a bezel, a support ring and a cup holder body captured between the bezel and the support ring. An armrest assembly includes a support frame, a cushion, a trim cover and the cup holder assembly.

A motor vehicle comprises an upper back support comprising a substantially U-shaped tubular member pivotally attached at a first end to one of a pair of opposed lateral seatback frame members and pivotally attached at a second end to the other of the pair of opposed lateral seatback frame members, a substantially rigid planar base attached to a central portion of the tubular member, a latch operably coupling the first end of the tubular member to the one of a pair of opposed lateral seatback members to restrain the tubular member in one of a plurality of positions between a stowed position and a fully raised position, and a cushion disposed above the upper back support to form a movable exposed surface.
