A stent delivery assembly and methods of use are provided. The assembly can comprise a catheter, a cover member, a core member, a stent, and a stent retention mechanism. The stent can extend within the cover member lumen and have a section extending at least partially between an inner layer of the cover member and the core member. The stent retention mechanism can be coupled to the core member and comprise an outer surface that is configured to exert a radially outward force against the stent for axially restraining the stent relative to the core member when the stent is in contact with the inner layer of the cover member.

Methods and apparatus for luminal stenting

A vascular device is provided that includes a frame attached to a distal end of a delivery wire. The frame includes a cylindrical body formed of a plurality of interconnecting members, the interconnecting members being configured to exert a first radial force against an inner wall of an anatomical lumen. The vascular device further includes a protector having a proximal end, a distal end, and a profile that tapers distally from a proximal cross-sectional dimension to a reduced distal cross-sectional dimension. The protector is coupled to a distal end of the frame via a plurality of connecting members, each of the members extending from a distal end of a corresponding interconnecting member and converging distally to form a taper. The connecting members are configured to exert a second radial force, less than the first radial force, against the inner wall of the lumen.

Embodiments are directed to micro-scale or meso-scale hydraulically or pneumatically actuated devices, methods for forming such devices using multi-layer, multi-material electrochemical fabrication methods and particularly fabricating (i.e. building up) a plurality of components of devices that are moveable relative to one another in pre-assembled configurations wherein special features are designed into the devices (e.g. wide gaps in fabrication positions and narrowed gaps in working regions of component movement, mechanisms that inhibit the return of device components to fabrication positions after being moved into working regions, used of cylindrical interference and/or checkerboard bushings, etching holes in selected locations to allow removal of sacrificial material) to allow such fabrication to occur without violating intra-layer minimum feature size constraints while still obtaining effective gaps between components that are smaller than the minimum features size limits. Particular applications of such devices involve medical applications and in particular minimally invasive procedures where devices would be moved into a desired working area within a body of a patient via a lumen and then actuated while at the working location.

Embodiments disclosed herein are directed to compliant probe structures for making temporary or permanent contact with electronic circuits and the like. In particular, embodiments are directed to various designs of two-part probe elements, socket-able probes and their mounts. Some embodiments are directed to methods for fabricating such probes and mounts. In some embodiments, for example, probes have slide in mounting structures, twist in mounting structures, mounting structures that include compliant elements, and the like.
