A lighting device or lighting associated device which includes an off-line computer in addition to the controlling computer. The off-line computer is one that uses less power, but is accessible wirelessly even when the light is off-line and not receiving power. The off-line computer can be used to update the program and/or media that is stored in the lighting device.

Stage lighting device with a controlling computer and a separate offline computer

A computer system that communicates with information indicative of a lighting show, and provides information to users in the audience to allow their phones to be interactive with the show. In one embodiment a lighting designer or show promoter can provide information R that extends the lighting effect on to the user's phone. In another embodiment, the show promoter may provide information indicative of the venue. The information can be location specific, for example information that is provided to a specific client device can be based on the specific location of the client device. This can provide location sensitive lighting information, or maps, or in seat specific information about the venue.

Mobile interface to a show

A moving light tester includes plural sensors, each of which can test a function of the moving light. A conveyor can move the light between the sensors. Once tested, information about the test is used to characterize the light, to determine if it needs repair, or can be re rented. The information can also be used to create inventory lists, and bills for damage. The testing can include automated testing for gobos, colors, noise, heating and movement, or other tests.

A moving light test system allows connecting moving lights to an interface board and conveying the lights and orienting and testing the lights while they are attached to the board. The lights can be mechanically and electrically connected to the board, and once connected, can be tested in multiple ways without reconfiguring or removing the lights. The board has a connector that can be plugged in at various locations, and the board can also be handled by mechanical devices. In this way, once the light is connected to the board, it does not need to be re-handled. In addition, lights can be tested in different orientations.

Moving light table

A clamp for an elongated tube style white such as a versa tube. The clamp has one fixed side that holds the versa tube's mounting structure therein. The other side of the clamp is movable, and pivots between an open position and a closed position. In the closed position, the lamp is held into place, and in the open position the lamp can be removed. A single screw that holds the clamp into the open or closed position is knurled and hence the device can be removed without any tools. The two sides of the clamp occupy different longitudinal positions so that they can be placed directly next to each other, and one opened without moving or disturbing the other since the two sides are in different longitudinal positions.

Clamp for an elongated lamp

A load bank that is used to test electrical connections. The connections are attached to the load bank, so that the switches are loaded during the testing. The overheating or underheating, of either switches or loads can be tested, evaluated, and used to determine faults and errors.
