A needle-free injection device including an outer housing and an inner housing configured to receive a needle-free syringe in one end. The inner housing of the device is moveable within the outer housing between a syringe loading position and a firing position. The device also includes an activation button and a housing lock engaged by the activation button to prohibit movement of the inner housing from the syringe loading position to the firing position if the activation button is activated in the syringe loading position.

Needle-free injector

A needle-free injection device suitable for delivering a therapeutic substance into the intradermal space of a patient. The needle-free injection device includes an injector body defining a syringe end. The device also includes a first handle attached with a hinge to the injector body such that the first handle pivots between an open and a closed position and remains attached to the injector body during an injection, a main spring positioned within the injector body, a return sleeve engaged with the main spring, and a first linkage between the first handle and the return sleeve. The first linkage causes the return sleeve to move away from the syringe end of the injector body when the first handle is moved from the open position to the closed position, thereby compressing the main spring. Needle-free injection systems and methods of operating a needle-free injection device are also disclosed.

Needle-free intradermal injection device

Embodiments disclosed herein include needle-free syringe and cap assemblies and filling tub systems. One embodiment of filling tub system includes a filling tub having exterior walls and a floor. The floor is formed into a plurality of sockets configured to receive and support a plurality of cap and syringe body assemblies, with each cap and syringe assembly received in a separate socket. Furthermore, each socket is configured to receive and support a syringe and cap assembly with contact only between one or more surfaces of the socket and selected outer surfaces of the cap. Methods of pre-filling a quantity of needle-free syringes are also disclosed.

Needle free syringe and pre-filling system

Methods of operating needle-free injection device having an outer housing and an inner housing is disclosed. The inner housing is configured to receive a needle-free syringe in one end. In addition, the inner housing is movable within the outer housing between a syringe loading position and a firing position. The device may include an activation button operatively associated with the inner and outer housings and a housing lock engaged by the activation button to prohibit movement of the inner housing from the syringe loading position to the firing position when the activation button is activated with the inner housing in the syringe loading position.

Needle-free injection methods

A needle-free injection device suitable for delivering a therapeutic substance into the intradermal space of a patient. The needle-free injection device includes a main spring which can be compressed using one or more handles attached to the device to place the needle-free injection device into an armed configuration. Device embodiments may optionally include an injector tube and associated apparatus which may be moved relative to other device structures when the injector is pressed against the skin of a patient with sufficient force. The disclosed operational switches and release mechanisms cooperate to prevent injection unless the device is properly positioned for an injection. Needle-free injection systems and methods of operating a needle-free injection device are also disclosed.

Needle-free injection device

A vial adapter for a needle-free injection syringe and methods of filling a needle-free syringe from a vial of injectable fluid. One vial adapter embodiment includes a housing and a compliant valve. The housing includes a central divider located between a vial opening and a needle-free syringe opening. The housing also includes a hollow center post extending from the central divider toward the needle-free syringe opening and a hollow filling needle extending from the central divider toward the vial opening. Together, the filling needle and center post provide for fluid communication between the vial opening and the needle-free syringe opening. The compliant valve includes a surface forming a fluid tight seal with the central divider and an inner passageway. In addition, a syringe sealing surface provides for a fluid tight seal with a needle-free syringe placed into contact with the compliant valve. The compliant valve includes an opening in the syringe sealing surface which is biased closed when no needle-free syringe is engaged with the vial adapter and which is opened when a needle-free syringe is fully engaged with the opening.
