A calcaneal targeting device includes a guide body configured to target a corresponding calcaneal bone plate. The guide body includes at least one mounting opening that is configured to align with a corresponding mounting opening of the calcaneal bone plate, at least one targeting opening configured to align with a corresponding fixation opening of the calcaneal bone plate, and a guiding portion that includes a tali targeting opening and a first elongated opening that has a first length. The first elongated opening is configured to allow sliding of a guide wire across the first length and align the tali targeting opening with a sustentaculum tali.

A method of forming a bone cutting block includes: forming a plurality of saw slot plates and two side plates, the plurality of saw slot plates each including a plurality of ends opposing one another, each of the plurality of ends including a locating feature, the side plates including a plurality of locating features; and supporting the plurality of saw slot plates using the side plates, each locating feature of the plurality of saw slot plates being connected with a respective one of the plurality of locating features of the side plates and the side plates thereby opposing one another, the plurality of saw slot plates defining at least one slot therebetween which is configured for receiving a bone saw blade therethrough to make a predefined cut in a bone.

Orthopaedic cutting block

A bone cutting block includes: a plurality of saw slot plates each including a plurality of ends opposing one another, each of the plurality of ends including a locating feature, the plurality of saw slot plates defining at least one slot therebetween which is configured for receiving a bone saw blade therethrough to make a predefined cut in a bone; and two side plates opposing one another, including a plurality of locating features, and supporting the plurality of saw slot plates, each locating feature of the plurality of saw slot plates being connected with a respective one of the plurality of locating features of the side plates.

Among other things, there is disclosed an orthopedic plate system for use in supporting or stabilizing long bones in pediatric patients. The plate includes a substantially planar portion for placement along a diaphysis of a long bone and a portion curved out of the plane of the planar portion for placement along at least part of a metaphysis of the long bone. Holes through the plate are provided for screws in both the curved and planar portions, which hold the plate to the long bone. The holes are substantially parallel to each other and substantially perpendicular to the plane of the planar portion. Screws through the holes and into the bone are substantially parallel to an epiphyseal plate of the long bone, so that attachment of the plate to the bone does not adversely affect growth of the long bone.

Pediatric long bone support or fixation plate

An implant for lengthening the lateral column of the foot is configured for engagement across the calcaneocuboid joint or across a space formed between two bone segments of the calcaneus bone. The implant includes a plate configured positioning on the bone segments and includes an array of screw holes at its opposite ends arranged for solid fixation to the corresponding bone using bone screws. The implant includes a wedge projecting from the bone engaging surface of the plate. The wedge has a width that is tapered toward the plantar aspect and toward the medial aspect of the foot.

Plate for lengthening the lateral column of the foot

A fixation device for reduction and fixation of fractures of the talus bone of the foot includes a thin titanium alloy plate having a lower wing configured for attachment to the lateral aspect of the talus and an upper wing configured for attachment to the dorsal aspect of the talus. The plate includes a substantially perpendicular or right angle bend between the lower and upper wings. In one embodiment, each wing includes three screw holes arranged in a generally triangular pattern. Two holes on each plate are situated in tabs and the center of the plate has a reduced width so that the plate presents a minimal profile. One of the tabs on the upper wing is bent away from the lower wing at a pre-determined angle so that the wing conforms to the shape of the talus. In an alternative embodiment, the upper wing includes a step portion between the lower wing and the bent tab and carrying one screw hole. In this embodiment, the bent tab is generally elongated with one or two screw holes disposed along its length.

Fixation device for the talus

A fixation device for fixation and/or fusion of the bones and joints of the mid-foot includes a plate having a plurality of screw holes for attachment of the plate around the perimeter of the fusion site. Four screw holes are positioned at the corners of the plate and two screw holes are located at the opposite sides and mid-length of the plate. Four additional screw holes are defined at the interior of the plate to increase the number of points of attachment of the plate to the bones of the mid-foot or to increase the ability to stabilize multiple bone segments in the case of a difficult mid-foot fracture. The plate includes a plurality of cut-outs defined between or interior of the screw holes.
