A luminaire is provided with a housing having an attachment element and a LED mounting element. A plurality of LEDs are also provided and are supported by the LED mounting element of the housing. A plurality of reflectors are positioned proximal to the plurality of LEDs and reflect light emitted by the LEDs toward an illumination surface.

A luminaire assembly comprises a housing, a plurality of light emitting diodes disposed within the housing, a microwave sensor disposed within the housing for detecting occupants in an area adjacent the housing, wherein the microwave sensor is in electrical communication with the light emitting diodes, and wherein the light emitting diodes are driven at a first light level and in response to the microwave sensor at a second light level.

A modular louver assembly for a bollard luminaire comprises a louver having an upper surface, a lower surface and an opening, a heat sink disposed within the opening of the louver and adjacent the lower surface, a plurality of LEDs disposed about the heat sink on a lower surface of the louver, and, a lens disposed beneath the heat sink.

A luminaire system having an elongated throughway utilizing a thermal chimney effect. The thermal chimney effect within the throughway circulates air to remove heat generated from the electrical components of the system. Dissipating heat into the throughway from the electrical components can increase the life expectancy of the lamp and the output of the lamp. The electrical components of the system being entirely sealed and isolated from the throughway results in a permanent air, dust, and water tight seal. The permanent seal can minimize damage to the electrical components of the system as well as prevent the build up of moisture and dust within these sealed components.
