The disclosure provides a human laryngeal model for simulation of endoscopic guided injection laryngoplasty surgery and for an insertion of a syringe containing a fluid. The human laryngeal model includes a laryngeal body, a seat body, and a vocal cord. The seat body is mounted to the laryngeal body. The seat body has an accommodation space. The vocal cord includes a plate and at least one bag body. The plate is stacked on the seat body, the bag body is fixed to the plate and located in the accommodation space of the seat body, and the bag body has a storage space. The vocal cord is configured for the insertion of the syringe to allow the syringe to inject the fluid into the storage space of the bag body. In addition, the disclosure also provides a human head and neck model including the human laryngeal model.

A MRI-guided stereotactic surgery method including the following steps: assigning coordinates of a surgery target point of a surgery cannula and an insertion direction of the surgery cannula; performing coordinate transformation to transform the coordinates of the surgery target point into an insertion position of the surgery target point; substituting the insertion position and the insertion direction into an inverse kinematics model to obtain five parameters respectively corresponding to five degrees of freedom of a MRI-compatible stereotactic surgery device; controlling the MRI-compatible stereotactic surgery device according to the parameters to start a stereotactic surgery procedure, thereby inserting the surgery cannula; obtaining an actual cannula position according to a magnetic resonance (MR) image; comparing the actual cannula position with the surgery target point to obtain an actual position vector; and withdrawing the surgery cannula to finish the stereotactic surgery procedure when the actual position vector is acceptable.

MRI-guided stereotactic surgery method and MRI-compatible stereotactic surgery device

A stationary trans-skull optogenetic stimulation module is provided and includes a sleeve to be inserted and positioned in a drilled hole of a skull of a subject, an optogenetic stimulating element, and a cover. The sleeve has a large aperture portion and a small aperture portion, and the optogenetic stimulating element and the cover can be installed with or disassembled from the large aperture portion. Thus, the operation time of syringe injection and phototherapeutic irradiation can be reduced, and the operation efficiency can be increased.

The present disclosure is to destroy adipose tissue non-invasively by using focused ultrasound (FUS) and to increase the treatment efficiency by the synergy of the novel FUS and electrical stimulation. Lipid can be released from the destroyed adipocytes and stay in the interstitial fluid of undestroyed adipocytes. In the meanwhile or after the treatment of FUS, a passive exercise of muscle in thighs or other parts is performed by electrical stimulation to consume energy. Therefore, metabolism of the free lipid can be enhanced by supplying energy to the muscles. The ultrasound treatment of the present disclosure is able to increase the treatment area, and while in combination with electrical stimulation, it can efficiently remove lipids in the circulation.

A skull endosseous module for ultrasound penetration is provided and includes a fixation sleeve permanently inserted and positioned in a drilled hole of a skull, a movable sleeve movably inserted in the fixation sleeve for providing a hollow ultrasound guiding channel; and an outer cover mounted on an outer opening of the fixation sleeve and covered by a scalp tissue. Thus, an ultrasound device outside the scalp tissue can generate ultrasounds to pass through the outer cover and the ultrasound guiding channel for affecting a target region of a brain tissue in the skull.

Disclosed is a skull endosseous implant adapted to be implanted in the subject's skull to provide an access channel. A variety of sensor means may be installed in the access channel for monitoring the intracranial status of the subject. The present invention further provides a kit containing the skull endosseous implant.

A rehabilitation apparatus is disclosed. The rehabilitation apparatus includes a supporting housing, a rotary housing, an actuator, a control unit, and a torque detector. The rotary housing is slidably mounted to the supporting housing to hold a body segment. The actuator has a driving shaft to rotate the rotary housing. The control unit is electrically connected to the actuator to control the actuation of the actuator. The torque detector is electrically connected to the control unit, thereby detecting a torque exerted on the driving shaft, and transmitting a torque signal to the control unit.
