An electro-mechanical brake for increasing a braking force is provided. The electro-mechanical brake for increasing the braking force according to an embodiment of the present invention may include the upper pad together with the inner pad and the outer pad, the inner pad may pressurize the inner side surface of the disk by the movement of the moving block by the rotation of the screw, the outer pad may pressurize the outer side surface of the disk, the upper pad may also pressurize the cylindrical surface of the upper end of the disk, and thus the braking force may be increased since the additional braking force can be further generated by pressurizing the cylindrical surface of the upper end of the disk compared with a case of pressurizing the inner side surface and the outer side surface of the disk.

Electro-mechanical brake for increasing braking force

A device for adjusting a wedge angle of a variable wedge of an electro wedge brake (EWB) includes a movable wedge including an inclined surface and a counter wedge which includes an inclined surface disposed to face the inclined surface of the movable wedge and is disposed to face the movable wedge. The wedge angle adjusting device includes a frictional coefficient estimate unit configured to estimate a frictional coefficient between a pad and a disc of the EWB, a wedge angle command unit configured to calculate a wedge angle command value, based on a estimation of frictional coefficient estimated by the frictional coefficient estimate unit, and a wedge control unit configured to adjust the wedge angle according to the calculated wedge angle command value.

Variable wedge of electro wedge brake, and device and method of adjusting wedge angle

Disclosed is an electro-mechanical brake device, including: a disk; a pair of brake pads respectively disposed at both sides of the disk; a caliper respectively disposed inside the pair of brake pads; a brake module portion disposed at one side of the caliper; and a parking brake portion that is disposed to be perpendicular to a motor shaft of the brake module portion and is connected to a parking brake switch that is operated by a driver, and selectively controls a rotation of the motor shaft depending on the operation of the parking brake switch.

Electro-mechanical brake

Provided is an electro-mechanical brake having a wear compensation function including a carrier fixed to a vehicle body, a brake disk rotatably installed in a wheel of a vehicle, a pad unit including an inner pad disposed on one side of the disk and an outer pad disposed on the other side of the disk, a moving unit configured to move the pad unit in a direction toward the disk, and a wear compensating unit installed between the carrier and the moving unit and moving the pad unit in the direction toward the disk through the moving unit when the pad unit wears in order to maintain the corresponding state, wherein a distance between the pad unit and the disk is maintained within a predetermined distance by the wear compensating unit.

A motor control system for wear compensation between a disc and a pad in an electromechanical brake is disclosed. The system includes a switching unit configured to select a force control loop when a state of the electronic pedal is an applied state and select a velocity control loop when the state of the electronic pedal is a released state, an angular displacement amount calculation unit configured to calculate an angular displacement amount for reverse rotation of a motor for the wear compensation using a clamping force measured by a clamping force sensor of the force control loop when the velocity control loop is selected, and an angular velocity profile generation unit configured to generate an angular velocity profile having an area of the calculated angular displacement amount, generate an angular velocity command value at every sampling time from the generated angular velocity profile, and apply the generated value to the velocity control loop.
