The present disclosure relates to a touch detection module and a display device including the same. According to an embodiment, a touch detection module includes driving electrodes arranged in parallel, sensing electrodes arranged to cross the driving electrodes, and a touch driving circuit configured to supply touch driving signals to the driving electrodes and detect touch sensing signals through the sensing electrodes to detect touch position coordinates, wherein the touch driver circuit sorts the driving electrodes into a plurality of touch electrode groups based on distances between the touch driver circuit and the driving electrodes, and sequentially supplies the touch driving signals to the driving electrodes of the touch electrode groups.

A display device includes: a touch panel including a touch area including first touch electrodes and second touch electrodes; and a touch panel driver for providing touch driving signals to the first touch electrodes. The touch panel driver provides the touch driving signals to the first touch electrodes in a first touch sensing period of a first mode, operates in a second mode when the first touch is detected, and provides the touch driving signals to the first touch electrodes disposed in a first row area of the touch area in which the first touch is detected in a second touch sensing period of the second mode.

A display device is disclosed that includes a sensor area including a plurality of channels each including touch electrodes arranged in a column, a peripheral area located around the sensor area and including touch lines connected to the channels, and a display driver configured to supply touch driving signals to the channels. The sensor area includes a first sensor area located at a first edge of the sensor area, and a second sensor area located adjacent to the first sensor area. The display driver supplies first touch driving signals having a first voltage level to the channels in the first sensor area during a first period, and supplies second touch driving signals having a second voltage level to the channels in the second sensor area during a second period after the first period, the second voltage level being lower than the first voltage level. The display driver supplies the first touch driving signals sequentially to the channels in the first sensor area according to a single-channel driving scheme during the first period, and supplies the second touch driving signals simultaneously to the channels in the second sensor area according to a multi-channel driving scheme during the second period.

A touch sensor including: a touch sensing area including driving electrodes and sensing electrodes; a driving signal generator which determines phases of driving signals based on a reference code and supplies the driving signals to the sensing electrodes, wherein the driving signals are sine waves; and a touch processor which receives sensing signals according to the driving signals from the sensing electrodes and determines a touch position based on the sensing signals and the reference code, wherein the driving signal generator controls the phases of the driving signals by updating the reference code at a predetermined time point.

A driving signal generator is configured to provide driving signals to the driving electrodes. Analog front-ends are configured to receive sensing signals depending on the driving signals from the sensing electrodes. A signal processor is configured to detect touch input, based on differential output values of the analog front-ends. The driving signal generator provides the driving signals to the driving electrodes while avoiding a period in which a pulse of a vertical synchronization signal defining start of the frame is generated.
