A liquid crystal light-adjusting film includes a polymer material substrate and a plurality of elliptical crystal cells. The polymer material substrate has a light incident surface and a light exiting surface opposite to each other. A direction from the light incident surface to the light exiting surface is a thickness direction of the polymer material substrate. The elliptical crystal cells are disposed in the polymer material substrate. A long axis direction of each of the elliptical crystal cells is arranged along a first direction perpendicular to the thickness direction, and each of the elliptical crystal cells comprises a plurality of liquid crystal molecules. A manufacturing method of the liquid crystal light-adjusting film and a backlight module using the liquid crystal light-adjusting film are also provided.

Liquid crystal light-adjusting film, backlight module and manufacturing method of liquid crystal light-adjusting film

A viewing angle switchable device including an absorptive polarizer, a reflective polarizer and an electrically controlled viewing angle switching element is provided. A transmission axis of the reflective polarizer is parallel to a transmission axis of the absorptive polarizer. The electrically controlled viewing angle switching element is disposed between the absorptive polarizer and the reflective polarizer and includes two transparent substrates, two transparent conductive layers and a liquid crystal layer including a plurality of liquid crystal molecules. When there is a potential difference between the two transparent conductive layers, an orthogonal projection of an optical axis of each of the plurality of liquid crystal molecules on the absorptive polarizer is parallel to or perpendicular to the transmission axis of the absorptive polarizer and the transmission axis of the reflective polarizer. A viewing angle switchable display module including the viewing angle switchable device is also provided.

Viewing angle switchable device and viewing angle switchable display module

A backlight module includes a light guide plate, a light source, a prism sheet and a reflective structure. The light guide plate includes a light emitting surface, a bottom surface opposite to the light emitting surface, a light incident surface connected with the light emitting surface and the bottom surface and a plurality of micro structures located on the bottom surface or the light emitting surface. The light source is disposed beside the light incident surface of the light guide plate. The prism sheet is disposed above the light emitting surface of the light guide plate, and includes a plurality of prisms facing the light emitting surface. The reflective structure is disposed under the bottom surface of the light guide plate. The reflective structure has a characteristic of changing its reflectivity according to a control signal applied thereto.

Backlight module and display apparatus

A composite film including a first polarizing film, at least one second polarizing film, and at least one first phase compensation film is provided. The first polarizing film has a first transmission axis. Each second polarizing film has a second transmission axis parallel to the first transmission axis. The at least one first phase compensation film is disposed between the first polarizing film and the at least one second polarizing film. Each first phase compensation film has a first optical axis. An orthographic projection of the first optical axis on the first polarizing film is parallel to an axial direction of the first transmission axis, and a first included angle between the first optical axis and the first polarizing film is greater than 0 degrees and less than 90 degrees. A display device is also provided.

Composite film and display device

A transflective optical plate including a polarization conversion unit, an optical film, and a transparent protective layer is provided. The polarization conversion unit is adapted to change a polarization state of a polarized image light and includes a combiner. The optical film is disposed on the combiner. The transparent protective layer is disposed on the optical film, and the optical film is located between the combiner and the transparent protective layer. A display system is also provided.

Display system and transflective optical plate

A display device includes a backlight module generating an emitting light having a first light distribution pattern, a switchable single-axis diffuser and a display panel. The first light distribution pattern has a light intensity exceeding a predetermined value within a first view angle range in a first direction. When the switchable single-axis diffuser is switched to a transparent mode, the emitting light passes through the switchable single-axis diffuser and maintains the first light distribution pattern. When the switchable single-axis diffuser is switched to a diffusion mode, the emitting light passes through the switchable single-axis diffuser and converts to a second light distribution pattern having the luminous intensity exceeding the predetermined value within a range of a second view angle in a first direction. The second view angle range is larger than the first view angle range.

Display device

A reflectance-adjustable reflector including a phase modulation element and a first polarizer is provided. The phase modulation element includes a first substrate, a second substrate opposite to the first substrate, a phase modulation layer located between the first substrate and the second substrate, a first electrode layer located between the first substrate and the phase modulation layer, and a second electrode layer located between the second substrate and the phase modulation layer. Thicknesses of the first substrate and the second substrate are between 0.01 mm and 0.5 mm. The first polarizer is disposed on the first substrate. The first substrate is located between the first polarizer and the first electrode layer. A total thickness of the phase modulation element and the first polarizer is less than 1 mm. A reflectance-adjustable display device is also provided.

Reflectance-adjustable reflector and reflectance-adjustable display device

A viewing angle control device including at least one liquid crystal panel, at least one compensation film and polarizers is provided. Each of the at least one liquid crystal panel includes two transparent conductive layers and liquid crystal molecules. The polarizers include at least one first polarizer and a second polarizer. The at least one first polarizer is located between the at least one compensation film and the at least one liquid crystal panel. The second polarizer is located at a side of the at least one liquid crystal panel, the at least one compensation film and the at least one first polarizer. When there is no potential difference between the transparent conductive layers, an optical axis of each of the liquid crystal molecules is parallel or vertical to a transmission axis of the at least one first polarizer. A viewing angle controllable display apparatus is also provided.

Viewing angle control device and viewing angle controllable display apparatus

A liquid crystal lens includes a plurality of first stripe-shaped electrodes, a plurality of second stripe-shaped electrodes, and a plurality of third stripe-shaped electrodes. Each first stripe-shaped electrode is disposed between any two of the second stripe-shaped electrodes that are adjacent to each other, and each second stripe-shaped electrode and each first stripe-shaped electrode are arranged along a first direction alternately. The third stripe-shaped electrodes are arranged along a second direction sequentially and interlaced with the first stripe-shaped electrodes and the second stripe-shaped electrodes. Any two of the second stripe-shaped electrodes and two opposite sides of each third stripe-shaped electrode perpendicular to the second direction define a lens region.

Displaying method of stereoscopic display device

A stereoscopic image system includes an image-generating unit and a modulating module. According to an image signal controller, the image-generating unit is configured to provide a first image having a first brightness during a first period and a second image having a second brightness during a second period. The modulating module is configured modulate the image signal controller during the first and second periods so that the first image has a third brightness after passing through a first lens of polarized glasses and the second image has a fourth brightness after passing through a second lens of polarized glasses, wherein the difference between the third brightness and the fourth brightness is smaller than the difference between the first and second brightness.

Stereoscopic image system and related driving method for balancing brightness of left-eye and right-eye images

A touch panel includes a first substrate and a plurality of conductive electrodes. The conductive electrodes are located at the first substrate, and each of the conductive electrodes includes at least one mesh electrode. Each of the mesh electrodes includes a plurality of conductive patterns, and the conductive patterns of the same mesh electrode are connected together. Each of the conductive patterns has a central point, and distances from the central point of each of the conductive patterns to the central points of adjacent conductive patterns are incongruent, such that the conductive patterns are arranged in an irregular manner.

Touch panel

A display module includes a display device, a pivot member, and a reflection-mirror device. The display device includes a light splitting device and a monitor for displaying first and second images arranged alternately. The light splitting device is disposed at a position corresponding to a light exit side of the monitor for splitting the first and second images along first and second splitting directions respectively. The pivot member is disposed at a side of the display device. The reflection-mirror device is connected to the pivot member to be foldably pivoted to the side of the display device. The reflection-mirror device is for reflecting the first images split along the first splitting direction in a reflection direction when being unfolded relative to the display device. The reflection direction is relatively biased toward the monitor so as to form an included angle cooperatively with a normal of the monitor.

Display module

A display device for a user to observe a stereo image through a pair of polarization glasses includes a projector, a switchable polarizer, and a sensor. The projector sequentially displays a first image, a first middle image, a second image, and a second middle image on a projection screen. The switchable polarizer is located between the projector and the projection screen and is switchable between a first mode and a second mode, so that each of the first and second images has a first or second polarization after passing through the switchable polarizer in the first or second mode and is then projected onto the projection screen. The sensor is coupled to the switchable polarizer and senses the images on the projection screen. When the sensor senses the first middle image or the second middle image, the switchable polarizer switches between the first mode and the second mode.

Display device and driving method of display device

An optical touch module includes a transparent substrate and two light processing units. The transparent substrate includes a touch surface, a sub-surface parallel to the touch surface, and a surrounding side surface connected to the touch surface and the sub-surface. The two light processing units are positioned on two neighboring corners of the transparent substrate, and each of the two light processing units includes a light source and a detector. The light source and the detector respectively have a light emitting surface and a light entry surface, the light emitting surface of the light source and the light entry surface of the detector both face the surrounding side surface, and the two light processing units are positioned beneath the touch surface.

Optical touch module

A light collection module and a solar energy device are provided. The light collection module includes a light guiding material and a solar energy receiving element. The light guiding material has a first surface and a second surface opposite thereto. The first surface includes a first light guiding structure and a second light guiding structure. The first light guiding structure includes a first light guiding surface and a first auxiliary surface connected to each other and intersected in a first angle. The second light guiding structure includes a second light guiding surface and a second auxiliary surface connected to each other and intersected in a second angle. The inclination directions of the first and the second light guiding surfaces are opposite to each other. The solar energy receiving element is disposed on the first surface or the second surface.
