In certain scenarios, resource preemption may occur. A user equipment (UE) is configured to monitor for a preemption indication based on a specific downlink configuration. This configuration provides information about whether preemption is identified within a data space in terms of resource blocks. The UE receives data transmissions from a base station at different times and a preemption indication in a group common physical downlink control channel. Based on this preemption indication and the downlink configuration, the UE determines if a portion of the shared downlink resources occupied by the initial data is preempted from use. If the resources are not preempted, the UE proceeds to decode the initial data.

Ultra-reliable low-latency communication indication channelization designs

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may transmit semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) messages to a set of user equipments (UEs) using respective resources corresponding to each UE. The base station may receive, from each of a subset of UEs from the set of UEs, a negative acknowledgement (NACK) message associated with the SPS messages. The base station may transmit a group downlink control message including information associated with a downlink resource configuration for retransmission of the respective SPS messages to the subset of UEs. The base station may retransmit SPS messages to each of the subset of UEs using the downlink resource configuration.

Group common control channel in ultra-reliable/low-latency communications

In some circumstances, a URLLC may preempt resource. An apparatus may be configured to receive a set of resource blocks from a base station including at least one of eMBB data or URLLC data in a PDSCH. The apparatus may receive a URLLC indicator from the base station. The URLLC indicator may be received embedded within the URLLC data or received separate from the URLLC data within DCI of a PDCCH. The URLLC indicator indicates whether the set of resource blocks includes at least part of the URLLC data. The apparatus may determine, based on the URLLC indicator, whether the set of resource blocks includes the URLLC data and processing the set of resource blocks based on a result of determining whether the set of resource blocks includes the URLLC data.

Certain aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment may receive, from a base station, an indicator associated with a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) process, wherein the indicator indicates a number of mini-slots to be bundled for a HARQ transmission of the HARQ process; and decode the HARQ transmission based at least in part on the mini-slots. In some aspects, a base station may transmit an indicator, associated with a HARQ process, to a user equipment, wherein the indicator indicates a number of mini-slots to be bundled for a HARQ transmission of the HARQ process; and transmit the HARQ transmission to the user equipment using the mini-slots. Techniques and apparatuses for using mini-slots for hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) transmissions

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station and a user equipment (UE) may communicate in a high reliability and low latency communications system (e.g., ultra-reliable low latency communications (URLLC)). The base station may signal a UE-specific scheduling request (SR) repetition configuration that the UE may utilize to transmit an instantaneous SR when a buffer status report (BSR) is triggered by a new data packet. The UE may repeatedly transmit the SR until a number of repetitions or a time period of repetitions is met or an uplink grant is received from the base station. The SR repetition configuration may include a number of parameters including a repetition setting, power settings, a resource allocation, and an acknowledgement/negative acknowledgment (ACK/NACK) procedure.

User equipment-specific scheduling request repetitions

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for support response-based resource management. A UE may determine an uplink response to be transmitted in response to a downlink transmission by a first TRP participating in CoMP to the UE with a second TRP. The first UE may select which of the first TRP or the second TRP to transmit the uplink response to, based at least in part on the determined uplink response and may transmit the uplink response to the selected first or second TRP.

Response-based resource management

In aspects, a method of wireless communication is provided, including scheduling ultra-reliable and low-latency communications (URLLC) communication in a first set of one or more portions of a self-contained wireless communication structure having a plurality of portions, and adjusting one or more (e.g., remaining) portions of the self-contained wireless communication structure subsequent the first set of one or more portions based on the scheduling. In aspects, the method further includes transmitting an indicator of the adjusting to one or more user equipments. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Methods and apparatus for adjusting wireless communication structure

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A first cell may receive a message indicating that a second cell has a priority transmission scheduled using a transmit time interval (TTI) that is shorter than a TTI used by the first cell. The first cell may limit, based on the message, a communication parameter associated with communications between the first cell and a user equipment (UE) during the scheduled priority transmission.

Interference management for networks with variable transmission time intervals

Base stations of neighbor cells can coordinate with each other in allocating grant-free uplink (GUL) resources for a device-to-device (D2D) connection or channel between user equipments (UEs) across the neighbor cells. The base stations coordinate to determine a condition conducive to D2D communication between the UEs. If the condition exists, the base stations coordinate to allocate network resources for D2D communication between the UEs, and establish a D2D connection between the UEs using the allocated network resources for D2D communication.

Device-to-device communication across multiple cells

Various types of communication may switch from an unlicensed spectrum to a licensed spectrum. MiCr communication may be synchronized based on transmission time intervals (TTIs), which may improve the duration required to switch between bands. A MiCr system may transmit a signal to temporarily suspend other traffic in a licensed band so that MiCr communication may occur. For example, an apparatus may be configured to determine synchronization between a first radio access technology (RAT) and a second RAT based on transmission time intervals associated with the first RAT and transmission time intervals associated with the second RAT, switch from the first RAT to the second RAT after the determined synchronization between the first RAT the second RAT; and transmit, during a TTI associated with the second RAT, a first packet using the second RAT based on the switch from the first RAT to the second RAT.

Method and apparatuses for accessing unlicensed and licensed frequency bands

Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques to reduce overhead and improve resource management by efficiently selecting RSMA spreading code for periodic traffic in IoE devices. For example, in accordance with one technique, the IoE device, during an initial access to the base station, may notify the base station of the traffic periodicity of the IoE device such that the base station may assign a spreading code from a dedicated pool that is not utilized during the periodic access of the device. Additionally or alternatively, another technique to reduce overhead and improve resource management may include the IoE devices broadcasting the selected RSMA spreading code that the IoE devices intends to use in discovery broadcasts (DBs) along with the IoE device traffic periodicity such that the IoE devices may autonomously manage selection of RSMA spreading code that avoids collisions for the same traffic periodicity.

Techniques for selecting RSMA spreading code for periodic traffic in internet-of-everything devices

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that support evolved semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) for wireless communications. A base station may configure SPS in which multiple time intervals are scheduled, each time interval including multiple slots that may be scheduled by different uplink or downlink resource allocations. The SPS configuration may include an ON-OFF duty cycle where an ON portion of the duty cycle spans a portion of a time interval and includes uplink and downlink resources, and an OFF portion of the duty cycle spans a remaining portion of the time interval and does not include any allocated SPS resources. Such SPS configurations may be used, for example, for transmitting sensor data and command information between controllers and sensors/actuators in a factory automation network.

Evolved semi-persistent scheduling for wireless communications

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may transmit, and a user equipment (UE) may receive a group physical control channel signaling, which may configure grant uplink transmissions for a set of UEs including the receiving UE. The group physical control channel signaling may indicate allotted resources for configured grant uplink transmissions. The group physical control channel signaling may further indicate a group physical control channel which a UE may monitor for control messages. The UE may transmit a configured grant uplink transmission in accordance with the group physical control channel signaling. The base station may receive the configured grant uplink transmission and may determine a control message which it may transmit in the group physical control channel based on the configured grant uplink transmission. The UE may receive the control message, and may determine whether to retransmit a configured grant uplink transmission based thereon.

Group physical control channel for autonomous uplink transmissions

In an embodiment, a transmission reception point (TRP) apparatus of a Coordinated Multipoint (CoMP) network, determines a periodicity of periodic traffic between the TRP apparatus and a user equipment (UE), and schedules a Channel State Information (CSI) process in advance of a traffic window for a next instance of the periodic traffic in accordance with the determined periodicity. In another embodiment, the UE of the CoMP network performs the CSI process in advance of the traffic window for the next instance of periodic traffic between the UE and the TRP apparatus, the CSI process being scheduled in accordance with the determined periodicity of the periodic traffic.
